I'd expect mine to not only be free range and organic, but also to have been laid by either Jamie Oliveoil or Huge Furry-Whatsitcalled themselves.

I get mine at a local farm shop, and they are so free range that I once had to stop the car and rescue one of the hens from the grass verge on the other side of the lane outside the entrance!

I keep chickens and every day I get one double always seems to be a slightly larger egg than the rest.

I got my first double yolker a couple of weeks ago! Extra large eggs from one of my local farm shops 6 for £1.35.
I think you're more likely to get a dy from big eggs

There is a way of increasing your chances of, and spotting a double yolker. Think its to do with the size of the egg and the age of the bird. There is a stall that sells eggs labelled double yolkers on birmingham market, also my nana used to live in cornwall and says the eggs they bought from a local farm were always doubles!

I bought a box of Co-op extra large eggs and 4 out of 6 were double yolkers - the first one really did spook me!
