Ooh I like the sound of that card! Love French Fancies! I got my friend one that says "You're a Fun-Guy" with a picture of some knitted mushrooms on :D

I see what you mean about the imprisoned feeling Cinny but it's horrible not to see daylight - especially in the winter when you go to work in the dark and leave in the dark :( And ESPECIALLY when there's a massive spare office down the corridor with loads of lovely windows and a kitchen attached, and they won't let you have it, for no reason!

The cottage sounds lovely, really hope the LA says yes to the cat thing.

We had a donkey near our hotel room in Spain once. OH loved it haha.

I have booked off a day to go flat/house hunting this month so hopefully we will find something.

Lovely Wendz - is it you looking in Hemel Hempstead? I get confused with all the Londoners! OH has just emailed me another nice house he likes the look of in case this one doesn't happen, bit cheaper ad better for him for work (as he'll be doing all the commuting) and it says on the listing 'pets allowed'!! Not as nice as the other one but still very nice, I feel better knowing that there are other nice places coming up all the time and that we won't end up in a hovel!

I just won one of the Living and Working in Australia books from the giveaway on here :) should come in handy!

You won't be in a hovel hon, often the best houses atm are rentals as people put their own homes up for sale as they don't want to sell at a loss.

Donkeys could be very smelly too for sitting out in that garden (I withdraw this comment if the LA says you can have pets and agrees to reduce the price)!

Exciting stuff for you too Flower! I think your savings target is a good one, you'll be able to cover all your costs and get some essentials. Remember to beg borrow and steal (well maybe not steal) furniture at the start, things can always be replaced in time and hit the charity shops! People give away some good stuff sometimes!

I intend to :D we have a few basic bits in storage from our old flat to get us started so should be ok.

Tete good news about there being another house - you wont end up in a dump dont worry!

This place is on a trainline as well haha! Thanks for all the support girls :) Still not heard anything about Cottage #1, but now we have Cottage #2 which definitely allows pets, Cottage # 3 which is a close second to #1 and a converted chapel in the middle of nowhere! Feeling very upbeat about the whole thing. Still like #1 best though :)

oooh wish I could be looking a houses! Its wierd, I always think you girls are loads older than me but you're not not really, I'm nearly 21 (eeek!) its just that you guys have all finished uni and everything and have propper lives, rather than student-dom where we actually do live in hovels! *fingers crossed I'll get a job and be able to get a life too!*
