Well, yes :rotfl:.
The most expensive was £9.99 for Goddaughter nr1 and Goddaughter nr2, the cheapest is £1.01 for my best friend's daughter (got a puzzle on the Marks&Spencer penny sale +bought a book on Bookpeople sale January this year for £1 :j). We only got "presents" for the little ones-parents (my sis+BIL, my brother+SIL, younger brother+Girlfriend) only get a collection of sweets or prints from Photobox as my family is really big and OH's is tiny (only parents and 2 siblings).0 -
I assume clearing the OD and the savings need to come from extra income Tete as that is one tight budget given how much you eat out!
Well considering £500 of this month is going on a trip away and Christmas, I don't think it should be too hard to pay it off from my salary - I'll find bits and bobs of extra money where I can but most of the money things I do are for vouchers rather than cold hard cash
I would be suprised if you find its cheaper moving out to be honest.
Maybe not cheaper, but better quality of life definitely! I'm not too worried about affording things to be honest because when I lived in Newcastle I managed to pay rent and bills and CC at a rate of £150 per month AND managed to go out every weekend, and this was on £800 take home pay.
The big bootsale in stockton on the road going towards giant tesco runs year round Tete.
Is this the one at that school whose name escapes me? That's the one I was thinking of, I thought it was summer only. Well, we'll see, like I say I don't have that much left to sell!Swinstie73 wrote: »Think I will join you on your declutter challenge, I'm on the Flylday Thread but it moves so fast I can never keep up. What are your 10 zones? I have to put this to use in a house, but will try and keep up.
Oh god I tried Flylady for a few weeks (for the whole house) - couldn't keep up with them, so many of them don't seem to work and could get so much done! So I've just let the place go back to pot!
Honestly I probably have (had) more clutter in that one room than most people accumulate in a lifetime!

2-Boxes on top of wardrobe
3-[STRIKE]four boxes under bed[/STRIKE]

8-[STRIKE]The Corner of Doom [/STRIKE]- a chest full of old uni stuff, now full of crafty stuff
9-[STRIKE]Bedside cabinet[/STRIKE] (home of the 200 pens!)
10-All the rest of my clutter from the rest of the house, excluding the loft!
Good luck with your challenge Swinstie!the cheapest is £1.01 for my best friend's daughter (got a puzzle on the Marks&Spencer penny sale
Wow, you're one of the brave souls who made it then!! Well done you! :TWeightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Aye as I said, not a reason not to do it you and your OH are ready, but I just wanted to say don't bank on saving money compared to your current situation when you move out because its unlikely to happen!
Aye the one next to Blakeston Lane, the school that looks condemed but somehow they still haven't closed it despite there being a 'houses coming soon' board in the front car park for 2 years!Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

Blakeston School - that's it!
I guess it's not a case of we'll be saving money, it's just that we're not really saving money now even though we live at home if you know what I mean?Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Gargh, I put that badly. I don't mean saving s in 'putting money asside for a rainy day' I meant saving as in 'reducing your outgoings compared to the present situation'. I'm not saying don't move out, because I think the increase in cost is definately worth it, I'm just saying don't underestimate what it'll cost and overstretch yourself with too expensive a place/too long a commute (petrol estimated to be £1.35 per litre this time next year!!!).Debt January 1st 2018 £96,999.81Met NIM 23/06/2008

No that's what I meant as well - maybe I put it badly?! Don't like that petrol estimate at all! I did draw up a rough draft of what I think our expenses will look like but I can't find it on my USB ... I seem to think I estimated more than you though - I came out with about £100 per week after all bills, food etc were paid - and we'll be able to just have nights in watching telly if we're skint whereas we feel a bit like we should make ourselves scarce at the minute, and end up spending on cinema etc....
I need to get off this site - I'm going from one diary to the next catching up and making comments, and not getting anything done! Definitely won't be able to move out if I get sacked!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Sounds like you've wanted a new job for ages Tete. Maybe you could cut that petrol budget by getting something cool nearer your new house with OH? I know it's easier said than done though!:A :heartpuls June 2014 / £2014 in 2014 / £735.97 / 36.5%0

Lara, it's a funny one- I'm not desperate for a new job and am quite happy where I am, but I am on the lookout if you know what I mean?
Hi Poddle, don't worry about being forgetful, it's almost Friday!!
I've just signed up for the free trial of TasteLondon that was in the email - hopefully I left it late enough not to get one of the annual ones, I only want it for a month for when we go in December - don't even really know what you get!
Still nothing from BP...Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
