Hehe Lara, you never know, maybe one day!

I think he's just lazy TBH. If it was up to him he'd buy his clothes on a 5 year rotating basis. The only reason he has underwear without holes in is because I have to sneakily throw the old stuff out and replace it with new! His lazy has gotten bad with shower gel though, if he runs out and I don't replace it (I use my own girly smelly stuff) he just uses my shampoo! It's so annoying! I have a carefully worked out shampoo:conditioner ratio so I don't run out of one before the other then he uses half the bottle before I've twigged what he's doing! I'm going to start using his shaving gel when I run out and see how he likes it!

Hehe, well I used to have one bottle of conditioner to 2 bottles of shampoo but now I don't wash my hair twice (and it's made no difference!) so I just make sure that I use similar amounts of each. I usually use more conditioner though as I really slap it on the ends of my hair so to balance it out I throw in a hair mask every so often!

I use Aussie and their conditioners are smaller than their shampoos, but even though I use loads and only use a mask every so often I still end up with loads of conditioner. Sigh, the trials and tribulations of being a girl eh?!

I have the opposite problem, I always get through a lot more conditioner than shampoo, I always assumed it was because my hair is so long and thick, but you've both got long hair too.

I'm with you on this Dinah, I use about twice as much conditioner as shampoo! (which is useful when it's 3 for 2 :)) I think it's because I read somewhere that you should use 10p-sized blob of shampoo and then I slather on loads of conditioner to tame my unruly hair!

I think boys are quite easy to train really! They're simple souls as long as they get fed enough :D OH used to like an annual shopping trip for clothes, but we go slightly more often now... We've both started shopping in Gap now - that's how old we are! :rotfl:

    - Go through sewing folder and see what else needs doing (lots I fear) - FAIL
    - Go to the gym at least twice - FAIL
    - 5 Dooyoos - FAIL
    - 10 Ciaos - FAIL
    - Finish cushion cover - FAIL
    - - Paint little table? - FAIL
    - Get to at least the halfway point of The Amber Effing Spyglass - FAIL

Oh well, failed on a few things there but did get a fair bit done so I'm pleased with that. I'm actually looking forward to sewing class finishing and freeing up my time a bit.

Had a fab weekend, went up to Alnwick Castle and Gardens as OH had a free entry through work so we saved about £36 between us. Weather was glorious and we had a lovely day. Also went to Barter Books which I've heard so much about and it was just fantastic, I could have stayed there all day - even OH bought a book, albeit and educational one about trees! I got one called Creating Fashion which is sort of interesting to look at having been published in 1983, but I think it'll be useful, it's pattern drafting as far as I can tell. Doesn't count towards my unread books as it's 'reference' :p.

Also had a BBQ in the garden and then did some sunbathing by the duck pond on Sunday. Had a little walk around those two houses mentioned on here last week, they have no outside space whatsoever, one in particular is crammed in the courtyard near the wheelie bins, not interested really.

Pay Day on Wednesday thank the good lord, I have about £6 in the bank! Also looking at holidays for June, which my MOF may or may not be paying for, looks like poor OH will have to subsidise me in one way or another :o but hey I bring other things to the relationship, like cake.

Wondering what the £6bn cuts will mean for both of our jobs as well, we're sort of preparing ourselves to emigrate within the year if it looks bleak. No point sitting on the dole in the rain in Teesside when we could be snorkeling on the Great Barrier Reef every weekend, but we'll see. It's scary but in a good way.

    Anyhoo, more immediate plans:

    - Really need to update sewing folder, am I right in thinking we only need ten samples to pass Dinah? I don't want to drag out handing it in too long really.
    - Visit gran
    - Buy cat food
    - Go to car wash, I actually can't see the road for dead bugs
    - Finish making cushion cover
    - Do we think I can finish my curtain skirt within a week?? It only has four pieces! (I think not)
    - Contact AA with new car details
    - Buy 3 x Wedding cards, birthday card and new home card (Wed)
    - Three Dooyoos
    - Five ciaos (being more realistic with these two)
    - Paint table

That's all i can think of for now, I'm sure I'll add to it!

You know I have absolutely no idea! She doesn't seem to have pushed very hard to get us to bring it in, so I presume we've all done enough to pass already, she'd just rather have complete ones.

Dinah, I'm sure I have a memory of hearing/reading somewhere that 10 samples constitutes a folder and I already have 13 signed off, but have a few that I do want to do still. I had a good sort through my folder and all the handouts last night so I know where I am and feel a lot better about it. It won't be handed in tomorrow but shouldn't take me too long to get up to date.

Other than that I didn't do a lot, made a bit of headway with The Amber Spyglass though :)

If 10 is all I need then given I have 11 in the book and another 4 in my bag I'm just gonna leave it, especially given I can't find my book!
