    Morning (just) :hello:

Lovely and sunny here today, very cold though.

Haribo - O my goodness how scary, poor thing bet she wondered what was happening to her, hope she is ok now,
nic1lou2 - I have the same trouble trying to get smilies on, even after the kind folk on here gave me so much help, so I am just sticking to using the normal ones, still can't understand why they don't work though:confused:
Diva - good news about Tris much better recovering at home, when its possible
Bitsy - hope you feel better soon x
thriftlady - lovely colours, dont you just love attic24, I've never tried Bliss yarn but must say their colours are yummy :D
Welcome back celyn glad you had a nice time
taplady - well done how lovely of your friend to give you the flowers, I love lillies as well, especially the white ones just love the smell of them

Have finished all that's going to be done today, just waiting now for a phone call from DF and her OH, they are down at the QE hospital, he has to have a tube down his throat....yuk....
My OH dropped them off earlier and will fetch them when they are ready.

My car failed its MOT yesterday  needs all sorts done including a bit of welding. DS2 has his own garage so he will do it for me at cost (I am so lucky) and then take it back to the MOT station for me.

Lunch will be soup and toast as its sooo cold.
Dinner....after another dive into the freezer I have found seasoned wedges and chicken goujons(more remnants from when the DGD's were here) so will have beans with them.

The popcorn chicken was really nice last night £1 from Iceland that was a DGD one as well  we certainly are living life to the full at the moment :rotfl:

Well off to sweep some leaves up.... again....

    Back later
    Anne

    Afternoon all,

Sunny here to-day but windy and cold...better than rain though...rain to-day is in west and south where they already have serious flooding....DD1 has moved in with DS1 in Cork as she has no water...about 15000 people forced out of their homes because of flooding, really terrible...Jayne, how is your sister in W Cork doing??
Haribo....so scary for you all....hope that she is feeling better now.

Aussie....pm me your schedule when you have worked it out, would love to meet you again if I can...think you said that you are not coming to Ireland this time?

Thriftlady....lovely present....I bought tons of wool in early 09 to knit/crochet gifts for Christmas, not had great success that way so still have the wool and am not allowed to buy any more!

Bacon and cabbage for dinner to-day, then taking pc to someone who will either fix it or take all stuff off for me...OH is buying me new one if necessary, still not sure whether I will go for laptop of desktop, have got more used to laptop now....decisions, decisions.

Have had 4 calls this am from DD2...she is Christmas shopping....so questions. Looking forward to seeing her and dgds 1 & 3 next week.

Need to put round table back together and hoover dining room to-day, might even light a fire in there, hasn't been one there since my parents died in 1994 so think it is about time to check on chimney.

Better get on or none of my plans for to-day will come to fruition.

    Hugs to all

    Marie

Haribo I hope your poor baby feels better soon. That must have been so scary!

Marie My sister is OK thanks. As she lives on a farm in the middle of nowhere and halfway up a hill, they're quite self sufficient and fairly rain proof. They have oil central heating backed up by a coal fire back boiler, and their water comes from a well up at the main farmhouse. They have their own generator to work the pump. She did say it was a good thing that the washing machine and freezer were both on pallets in the garage though. They can get in and out of the farm by car again now, but weren't really that stuck as her BIL has the farm vehicles. She did say last week that when she thought it had been raining before, it had really only been practising!

I have just defrosted my freezer and sorted everything out back into the shelves where it belongs. It seems that there has been a bit of random buying in the last few weeks, so hopefully I'm sorted and back on track foodwise now. I've liberated a HM ready meal from the freezer, so Grumpy the house elf and I will be having spag bol for dinner, assumng that he isn't too tired to eat.

Last night he scoffed a big dinner of roast chicken, mashed potatoes and carrots. This morning he was awake at 4:55am, looking for food (and he had supper before he went to bed!). Another growth spurt I suppose.

    Take care all of you.

I'm happy - my insurance company have just settled. Cheque is in the post - so that's one weight off my mind at least :)hyper_fast.gif

I bought back three kilos of beads from prague. I will never use them, but I will just stroke them because they are so shiny :) They can join my craft stash :)

pippa - sorry about your car, glad you have someone to look at it though :)
diva - so glad tris is home :)

I am helping cooking thanksgiving dinner at the weekend, I have American collegues who always get a bit sad when they are not home for the celebrations so we try to do a party. I think even if you don't celebrate, as others have said, the sentiment is important, a time to reflect and give thanks for the things that are truly important in life.

    Hello Folks,
I hope that those people or littleones are on the mend now. There are certainly some horrid bugs doing the rounds at the moment.

My DS1 has just gone to the wake of Nicholas Webster Smith whose funeral it was today. A very big but sad affair that fair shook our little market town. He is having his wake on the 1st team pitch at the rugby club. My thoughts are with his family and girlfriend and friends. The weather stayed bright but blustery.

OS - well my cleaner has been again:T Thats twice this week and it makes a huge difference. I have done four loads of towels....im not going to overload my WM as methinks its on its last legs despite only being mended last week  Im fairly well organised today.

However I have still not organised christmas yet. I just cant get motivated but now DS2 birthday is done I must get going. My mother has ordered a turkey so thats something and Ive bought some crackers! Im definitely going to start putting my christmas decorations up this weekend as it will probably take me two weeks!

    Have a good afternoon,
    Love Mollyx
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

    Afternoon all!

Feeling much better now, think it has something to do with having slept all morning!

Not much OS done yet, been painting ds's room! Will be busy cooking some dinner for the girls in a bit though, then have dd3's parents evening later, and then I'm off to watch The Men Who Stared at Goats tonight, been wanting to see it for ages!

Hugs to all who need them, gonna have a cuppa and a quick catch up whilst waiting for dd3 to come home xx
