I have been folowing this thread firstly with amusement at little minded peoples comments and then disdain. !!
Some of the posters comments have made me smile (wryly) as surely it is the kettle calling the pot black. !!
Whether you spent 40p like me or £40...does it matter? We are all on this site for one thing and one thing only.
If some people choose to gamble a little more, to hopefully gain from the situation...then good for them !!
It gives no one the right to judge them and they DO NOT have to justify their actions to anyone on here.
There are some very small minded childish people on these forums, that if they don't get as good a deal as others do, then they start throwing their toys out of the pram.
I found it very upsetting to read some of the comments made about bootybabe18. The way that they choose to spend their money is surely down to them. To make derogartary remarks about them, not having a job and how much money they may or may not have, is appaling,
I hope that the mods now close this thread and I am reporting certain posters for abuse.
Please live and let live and just thank the original poster, for finding what really was originally a good deal.
When life throws you lemons...put them in a gin and tonic !!

Of course it matters. Like any glitch, loophole or deal - if people take the p!ss then the offer will be withdrawn. Similar to shopping vouchers/coupons. Certain people always take it a step too far which leads to offers being taken away.

No one is disputing that we're all taking advantage of a loophole, and that it's probably morally wrong. If you read back to her posts, she first said she'd "rinsed them" of £110 profit and then went on to say she needs the money to live on cos she's got debts and no job :rolleyes::rolleyes: Sorry but any post like that and with the attitude she displayed is bound to cause a reaction.

Anyway, just to get back on topic a little, i received my (one!) ticket this morning in the post. But it never did track on Quidco. :( Was worth a go though. Wonder if anyone's cashback will slip through the net and be paid.

Just by reading other threads and it has already been pointed out in this thread

however its nothing to do with this thread apart from the fact that he brought Quidco into it with his stupid bragging
  • Morning folks..naughty Sparky here. :D

Generally I'm keeping out of it, but I more than suspect (as some others have hinted at ) this is something of a wind up.

    ghostmadlittlemiss

I really felt at best like a naughty schoolchild, & at worst something like a criminal at first for taking advantage of an offer that was open to all. Having slept on it, I'm now feeling a little aggrieved by the way I was made to feel. No-one in a supermarket would be made to feel like this for buying 4 of a 2 for 1 offer which included coupons with money off worth more than the actual item. Didn't Martin himself (or at least 'officials' on this site) for example encourage us to buy baby powder at Tesco to gain more than the product price in clubcard points?

Virgin & Quidco are at fault here for not checking out the implications and should have set a minimum purchase amount or made it a percentage.

The system was open for abuse..and really, how many thousands of people do you suppose read these threads and act on these offers????
So what if she "rinsed them" and what right does anyone have to react to this...when we are all doing the same thing, to one extent or another.
People like yourself, should not throw stones, when you live in a house made of glass. :p

the reason people got upset with him in the first place was that they claimed to have attempted to make £120 out of the offer and they wanted the thread locked so that no-one else could take advantage as they wanted to guarentee they would get the money all this after saying they only had £10 a month to live off after paying rent etc

so of that £10 a month they now only have 40p

i have said im not bothered what people spend there money on or what offers they take advantage off but when they start behaving like this then it upsets me

he has also made claims today they are committing benefit fraud something else which annoys me

i have tried my hardest not to be abusive and have been i feel extremleey pleasent with him

  • Hi

I've read some of the pages but not all (not got the time) but I quickly checked on quidco to see if I could still get the offer but now it says

"£5for a confirmed booking over £7, per basket not per train ticket"

So you can get a £7 ticket for £2, but nothing better.

TCB are giving £4 but also min order £7.

    Shame.

Mine has tracked, if I don't get it paid then fair do's. I do not think that BULLYING in any way shape or form is acceptable. The way you've been talking to people is DISGUSTING. and you're grown adults? Regardless of what he/she said don't resort to bullying.

what would we do if you wernt here to watch over us lol :rotfl:

    Sorry, I was a bit patronising, wasn't I? :o

Update - Quidco have put the matter on hold 'til the 30th Nov while they investigate. If it takes that long to come to a decision on it, then they must think that there's more than one valid point of view on the matter. I mean, it's not the first time people have taken advantage of offers like this. In fact, I'm surprised that no one at Quidco guessed this would happen if they didn't state a minimum spend,
