The OP has been sold a Scenic Privilege. That's what it is. Trouble is it's a French spec one, which is a lower spec than a UK spec one would be.
If it was from a private buyer, you'd say buyer beware, sold as seen etc, but it's from a dealer.
Surely the dealer has a responsibility to (check and) inform the buyer if the car is an import. I'll bet that the OP hasn't informed their insurance company that it's an import, and that their insurance is now invalid. Park your car in your driveway until you've spoken to your insurance company OP!0
