    Money update

    Car Loan [STRIKE]£4977.90[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£4854.66[/STRIKE] £4731.72
    Barclaycard (currently on a DMP) [STRIKE]£5103.82[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£5061.39[/STRIKE] £5009.67
    Mint card [STRIKE]£1961.67[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£1900[/STRIKE] £1607.87

    Total [STRIKE]£10,081.42[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£11,816.05[/STRIKE] £11,349.26

Figures aren't looking too bad now. Mint min payment still to go and that will bring the balance to under £1600 so looking forward to that.

I put £5 note in my sealed pot today cos i was afraid of spending it on nothing. at least i can't spend it if it's in my pot. i've also started a spending spreadsheet (i am so sad) to keep track of everything i spend over the year. the oly thing not included on it is money spent on clearing debts (i've got a seperate spreadsheet for that :o)

Minimum payment for Mint has come out although after minus-ing the interest it means that the balance has only reduced about £10.09 by my calculations. There should be less interest going on as we’ve paid off a lot more than the minimum but I’ll correct my figures (if needed) when the statement comes through next month. I’ve also set up the facility to pay the card through online banking which saves having to write a cheque or phone them up each time we want to over pay (saving postage and phone bill). I sent some money last Monday to check it worked and it has so I sent 6 PAD’s making an o/p of £15.

I got an email today saying I’ve been accepted for an Egg card. It’s got 0% on BT til march 2011. When the card comes through I can BT some of the balance off the mint card, pay off the remaining balance in a couple of months which will reduce the amount of interest we’ll pay. :j

I’ve started on my Christmas presents. I bought a few jars in a sale ready for jams and chutneys and I’ve knitted 5 squares ready for a blanket. :T

Off now to do today’s PAD

Just thought I would pop by and say Hi:hello:
Well done on the debt front you sound motivated and organised and I always think its good to have a plan.
You are already making progress with the payments, and fear not I am sure the sealed tin will be more next time. You can bigger tins from home bargains we managed £54 last time. We are saving again for summer holiday treats and then after that for xmas.

they're sending him on a first aid at work course on the 8th Feb then he's going away for the weekend on a river safety course. It works out well cos that week is actually annual leave for me (that i didn't ask for but was given anyway) so no need for extra childcare.

hi all. just made last payment to c/c before payday tomorrow. paid off £31.66 which leaves the mint card balance at the very lovely round figure of £1500. oh i am sad.

am hoping to be able to pay off £200 tomorrow but i'll have to wait and see how much i actually get paid.

my sister is coming home for the weekend on friday and i've actually got the weekend off so i should be able to see her for once. so that'll be nice. DH and i are going to a quiz on saturday night at church. anyone good at general knowledge and wanna share????
