sent a cheque for the odd £61.67 to send to Mint today so feel quite pleased today. i know it's stupid but i feel like i'm getting somewhere with our debts again. i've got a bit ahead of myself and have updated my signature already. i know i shouldn't but couldn't help myself. after that payment it also means that i've only got to pay another £9.49 and i've paid off £8k of debts this year. i think that's pretty good even if i do say so myselfGoals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000

That's good goingProud to be dealing with my debt:eek:
TOTAL: £6,437 (04/01/2013) slowly but surely it is decreasing:D0 -
thanks catspaw. i feel so much better now me and DH have had a good chat about things. plus i feel like i'm back on track again now paying off some debts.
on another note - not quite debt busting but i finished the jumper i've been knitting last night. i've brought it with me tonight to sew it all together and it's done. it's taken me ages so i really hope it fits!Goals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -
 i just sewed my jumper together and it's horrible. i doubt i'll ever wear it. it's taken me forever to knit it and now i hate it. great!Goals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000

no posts for a couple of days as i've been away with work. nothing much to report on the debt front apart from 5 NSD while i've been away (work pays) and a min payment to our car loan which takes our total paid in 2009 over the £8k mark. i'm really pleased with that although i do need to do better in 2010.
i already do the sealed pot challenge and i have also signed up for the virtual sealed pot challenge. i have also signed up for hypno's pay off £20k in 2010 challenge setting my challenge at £12k. that should pay off all our debts. however we are also saving for a house deposit so not sure yet how realistic that is......but i do like a challenge.Goals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -
min payment to barclaycard went out today as well so updated totals are
Car Loan [STRIKE]£4977.90[/STRIKE] £4854.66
Barclaycard (currently on a DMP) [STRIKE]£5103.82[/STRIKE] £5061.39
Mint card [STRIKE]£1961.67[/STRIKE] £1900 (min payment not yet gone)
Total [STRIKE]£10,081.42[/STRIKE] £11816.05
i know the total balance has actually gone up but when i started i didn't know about the Mint card so i have had to add that on. on the up side all debts have come down slightly and the min payment for mint is due out tomorrow (wednesday) so i'll add that (or minus it) when it goes out.Goals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -
min payment paid for the mint card. i've only deducted the actual amount paid off the balance (not the interest) though that way i'll know how much still needs to be paid
another NSD today making 9 so far this month. only one more to go to meet december's target although i've got 3 spending days coming up. i hope to make it to 10 before christmasGoals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -

hi sparky (bit late i know) thanks for popping over
pay day today so paid £210 off mint. that was including a bonus i got for passing my probation. signature has been updated. i also moved some money into our savings as we're saving for a deposit for a house as well. we now have 10% saved
my total on hypno's pay off £20k (£12k target for me) challenge is now over £500 already. hope i can keep it up. i've been putting all my change into my sealed pot. i've now got a seperate one for £1 coins so hope to fill that one up!!
i've decided to use the balance on the mint card as the target for the new 1 debt vs 100 days challenge starting 8th jan. last time i cleared £1000 in 100 days so although i don't think i'll completely clear the card i hope to pay off at least the same as last time if not a bit more.Goals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000
