Oh man! Us drivers don't need to be accountable for riders deaths as the riders do a pretty good job of doing that on their own! lol

Bikers ride like absolute !!!!!!! In, and out, sneaking through traffic, crossing solid white lines to gain 5 mins time in a que. Serves them right if they want to kill themselves......nowt to do with us ;)

I'm sorry but I disagree with this! yes some bikers are bad drivers; just as some car drivers are bad drivers. please dont think that of everyone I know some very good bike and car drivers! as well as some very bad ones!

I know this is off tangent from the original thread and I'm sorry but please remember we are all individuals so dont tar everyone with the same brush.

in comparisson to breaking into peoples cars and stealing there belongings, i would say yes it is petty. Yet the police had no interest in even looking at my girlfriends car ater it was broken into.
What's this got to do with jumping red lights.

As police will say if you said this to them at time, they are dealing this right now, you jumping red lights. They deal with each offence they encounter.

They encountered your offence, you breaking the law.

You took a chance & got caught.

Learn your lesson & shut up.

Slightly off topic, but I'll add it anyway seeing as the OP has gone AWOL.

I travel to work everyday over the Forth Road Bridge and every morning a cue builds up as you approach the bridge during the morning commute.

I have yet to see after 2 years of travelling that route a motorbiker wait in the queue like us car drivers, they all and I mean all travel up the inside between the two lanes of cars, the amount of close calls I see is unbelievable. It's only a matter of time before one gets killed or seriously injured. Why do bikers not just wait like everyone else?

The advantage of having a bike is you can get through traffic queues. As far as close calls are concerned, every car has these two things sticking out on either side, side mirrors I think they're called. ;)

    From the highway code!

Why are you driving a car when you don't even know the rules of the road?

    Rules for motorcyclists:

    Section 88 Manoeuvring

    Quote:

............Additionally when filtering in slow-moving traffic, take care and keep your speed low.

    Road users requiring extra care

    Section 211 Motorcyclists and cyclists:

    Quote:

It is often difficult to see motorcyclists and cyclists, especially when they are coming up from behind, coming out of junctions, overtaking you or filtering through traffic Always look out for them............
