Oh yes it really is. I can't wait to have a look in the morning to see if it's showing.

I forgot to put the exact thing I came here to write. I managed to stay away from the shop ALL weekend whilst at work and didn't spend a penny.:j:j

Usually I work three days a week and buy my lunch or dinner at least once if not twice. This week I worked 5 days and bought lunch once. I am really proud of myself and must have saved about £15.

Oh and won £20 on BB tonight :)

I need to save all the money I can. After paying for dd's xmas pressie and the rest of the bits on the credit card this month, plus the car tax, there wont be a lot left, so need to recoup the accounts ready for the MOT in jan - JOY, but we'll get there.

Gah there is always something isn't there. Water started dripping through dd's light fitting this afternoon, and it may be that the flat roof outside her room has gone. If it's wear and tear then we wont be covered on the insurance (when they ever come and look at it), so more money we have to find that we prob don't actually have to hand.
Why couldn;t it wait until after xmas.

We've had someone out to look at the roof and they've patched it. As it's the flat roof part, then it's not covered on the insurance as it's wear and tear, so that's another £600 ish we have to find :(

One day we WILL have reserves for emergencies like this.

I just did a bingo offer and came away with £60 ish so that's a nice end to the evening. Have worked out we're now skint but can afford to pay for the roof to be done without going into debt again.

We also have our wills to pay for, but I will find the money for them somewhere and then it's back to the saving!

Time to enjoy xmas and then get ebaying/ anything else money making after xmas lol
  • Well there you go then - that's progress isn't it? Time was when you would have had to go into debt to sort out something like that, so well done to you!

It would appear it's sinking in! I got some chicken breasts out of the freezer this morning, being super organised, and then realised I have a tub of cold chicken left from tuesday that needs eating, so put the chicken breasts back and we can have risotto for dinner . Go me!

I hope everyone had a great xmas. Our day yesterday was hectic but almost chilled at the same time which is wierd but true. It was great with the whole family together and we ate well and spent hours doing pressies with each other.

Today we have to go to OH's parents separately so should make for an interesting day

The lounge looks like the toys r us warehouse but we can sort that out later
