Don't think any of the guys making the decision will be awaiting pay outs.:rotfl:
  • so, we aren't getting out money back then? How can this be fair? I for one am absolutely gutted at the news that the ruling has went in favour of the banks. I had about £3500 that i hoped to be getting back.

Does this mean then, that the banks will continue to charge what they like?
  • wow, stunned

    thought we'd win

    Seriously, can't believe that decision
  • why doesnt everyone just close all our bank accounts and keep the money at home, maybe then the banks might listen

Whilst this is incredibly disappointing, remember the judgement still needs to be assessed and the OFT needs to reflect on the judgement. Time is needed to do that.

The judgement said that the OFT can consider the use of other powers.

The OFT is on record as saying that other avenues are possible. The OFT feels that charges are unfair.
