Waiting for a payout is a good sign that you are unable to manage your finances. The other indication is the £16,203.81 debt you mention in your signature.

I know I know, clearly I can't manage my finances - well done you for pointing that out.

I obviously should have been able to manage better when my ex partner left me and didn't pay anything towards our joint mortgage, bills, or his 3 week old daughter while I was on maternity leave, and for a long time after.

I should have been able to *magic* that extra £700 a month into my account.

How irresponsible of me to try and stay afloat .

    Like I said - you don't know people's circumstances.

they are free leaflets, i wll gladly be the first person to stand in front of a judge on the charge of theft of free leaflets

You never know, you may find one of those leaflets of interest. Are you looking around for a personal loan at the moment?

4 - Out of interest, why on earth would you come on a website like this and express such opinions? Have you nothing better to do with your time?

    Is that a rhetorical question?

Am angry - Not over them ruling - that disappoints me. I've not claimed back, or tried to. I have been charged a lot from the bank, over the last couple of years after losing my job. Its difficult when your trying to keep up mortgage payments, pay bills, feed the family - but am trying my best. I had hope that this would have been resolved with the banks being able to charge a reasonable amount. I think £10 for a bank charge would still net the banks millions a year if not billions. But I guess not to be.
What really angers me is the glee with which certain people belittle and mock others situations. Advocating suicide, nasty and unhelpful replies. It does make you think just how unkind society is becoming.

  • Personally, I would have been happy to with a partial win each way with the end result that the banks could keep £5 or £10 of each charges, and repay the rest.

Hey, some brave woman from Labour just raised it in Question Time on BBC2 (have to say, first time Ive watched Question Time)
