You could have got a lodger to help pay the bills.
You could have got a part time bar job at weekends or on you days off for some extra cash.
If you have a car - sell it, get a cheaper one or get public transport to work (if possible)
Loads of ways to generate extra cash if you really need to.
Why didnt I think of that!!! It easy to say that when your not in the same boat saddled with debt :
Work fulltime did overtime
No car
Worked hard to buy house in first place so I have to lose a house to pay for bank charges !!0 -

But your intention is to deprive the bank of the leaflets. Sounds like theft to me.0 -
mikeandrach wrote: »i realise its immature and agree with you, ut what else can the guy in the street do? banks punish people at the drop of a hat, but we are powerless to figth back, they are making it as awkward as possible for people to get help. removing chairs/furniture etc is clearly theft so not possible, but removing leaflets that are usually displayed with a sticker syaing please take one, is legal and it costs the bank money. leafelts are cheap but the delviery costs ar ehuge due to the weight, so at least delivery companies will earn a few more quid! i will do this eveyr time i pass a bank, its the only thing i can think of that is legal that will cost the banks money.0

You comments are really low. I hope something similar never happens to you.
But, what goes around, comes around. Please ignore those people who post on this forum who deliberately try to misinform you. Don't be bullied by them, don't be blamed by them. You know who I mean.
You come here for advice, help and support- thats what I and like minded others will try to do.0 -

i think that they could consider it theftReplies to posts are always welcome, If I have made a mistake in the post, I am human, tell me nicely and it will be corrected. If your reply cannot be nice, has an underlying issue, or you believe that you are God, please post in another forum. Thank you0 -
1 - i've always found this forum to be frequented by pretty knowledgeable intelligent people, but today it seems that has gone out the window and every sad attention seeking mummy didnt give me enough hugs as a child person has come out of the woodwork to express their opinion. Why?!? Quite funny to read though i must admit, people writing something they know they will get a reaction just so people reply to them (because no one in the 'real world' does!), but seriously, go back to watching Jeremy Kyle now, no one is listening.
2 - I think it is a shame the way the ruling has gone. How the charges can be deemed as fair is totally beyond me. I myself had an outstanding claim with Lloyds for quite a substancial amount (i fully admit i was young and stupid when i incurred most of these charges), but as i never for a second actually expected to see the any of my money back i'm neither suprised or really inconvenienced by the decision because i wasn't relying on it. I think the old proverb sums this up perfectly' they take it away but they don't want to give it back! What frustrates me more than anything is that you have no choice other than to have a bank account. I do not want a bank account, i do not want banks making money off me, but i have no choice and that annoys me.
3 - I think to say that all people who incur bank charges do so because of an inibility to manage their finances properly just shows a total lack of understanding of some peoples situation, and to be honest shows you up really. Many people find themselves in bad situations through no fault of their own, and to say otherwise and tar all people with the same brush is foolish and will hopefully one day back round to bite you. Ever heard the term 'keyboard warrior'?
4 - Out of interest, why on earth would you come on a website like this and express such opinions? Have you nothing better to do with your time?0
