    Morning Jock,

Happy new year. Can't say I'm looking forward to the snow returning all that muchbut we're braced for it now. I think the snow shovel manufacturers might well have had the best Christmas of the lot of us! Glad to hear you're still on track for kicking the mortgage in the next couple of years. Having the mortgage come down £1,000 or thereabouts every month is a great motivation.

    Cheers,

    Billy

    Thanks,

We have one more 'special' OP which will go in within the next couple of weeks then its down to monthly and fixed monthly OP to clear the balance. There will be no additional OP's made as we are on target with the date set and are swinging more towards savings.

    This was made up of
£704 planned January overpayment (based on spreadsheet calculations to achieve MF by Dec 2012, came from savings)
£235 spare cash we had for December as majority of Xmas presents were bought throughout the year.
£130 worth of Bank of Scotland £5 rewards accumulated during 2010
£215 from coin pot accumulated during 2010 (£170 in 20p's, £30 in 5p's, £9 in 2p's, £6 in 1p's.......took two of us to carry to the bank as was quite heavy!!)

We actually bag it up during the year as we collect it so its not too big a job. Only takes the bank a few minutes to weigh it in and it goes directly into my account.
