Watching with interest, your spreadsheet sounds wonderful. Did you make it yourself?

Yes its quite easy to do.

I have a little plot of "Calculated Mortgage Completion" date which shows effect of offsetting, overpayments etc

    OK here is the plot.

We switched mortgage to an offset in Oct 2007 (£64k over 15 years)
The red curve shows the 15 year mortgage term with no offsetting thus paying full interest, ends Oct 2022. The blue line shows the effect of us offsetting the full amount, no interest, ends Feb 2017 The green line is with monthly and yearly (January) overpayments, ends Dec 2012

Been busy the past week, so an update:

All Xmas presents now bought so that’s my 'other yearly expenses' cleared for this year!

Managed to sell a few spare tuning parts on the car forum I frequent (thats my main passion and hobby [read money hole!!], also a Moderator ;) ) so have another £90 to add to my yearly 'extra overpayment' which we pay in January......I like to start the year off with a bang

I have been up in my loft and looking round for other things which we don’t use and could sell and make even more money...........ah it’s becoming an obsession :D

Been hunting round for better interest rates for my savings and after reading other MSE pages am now planning to open a third TSB Vantage account to make even more interest.

1,2,5p's pot (round biscuit tin) is 4/5ths full and looking forward to opening the sealed (with tape) tin and seeing how much we have accumulated.
