Thanks RustyFlange (what a great name!!) - traditionally, I have gone over the top at Christmas - but as I am desperately trying to pay my way out of debts, I just thought it was ridiculous!!
    We've had an expensive year, with my sisters' 40th, Dad's 60th and Niece's 21st - all within 6 weeks!
I made the executive decision to stick to £10 each and I am really proud that I have done!!

Well done you for putting more important things first!! The only reason I have gone over the top with OH this year is because last year we knew redundancy was looming and it has been a bit of a crap year with my grandad dying, OH being out of work for 6 months, problems with cars, problems with health amongst other things so I thought he deserved it!! plus he works hard all week and then has to drive 250 miles home to be with us!!

I've been really naughty :D Bought more stuff even though I swore I wouldnt. I've bought more stuff for Mum so have had to even out Dad's presents. Like most men he is a big kid (a 68-year-old kid - Mum says sometimes even my nephews are more mature than him :rotfl: ) he adores the Just William books and I had a budget of £10 for him - found on Amazon, box set of first 4 JW books plus the special 90th anniversary edition of the 5th - total £10.81. :D

Also for OH - spotted on the Leicester Tigers website earlier, as a special Xmas offer you can sponsor a brick in the new stand and you have your name, message put on etc for half price - £25 instead of £49. Have done that for him - thought it was a nice touch as he actually holds a season ticket in that stand. Think he probably suspects though - I spotted it earlier and remarked it was a lovely idea and he said 'Am I getting that instead of my shirt?' as I had promised to buy him the away shirt hes wanted for so long. He sounded so disappointed that Im getting him both!
