Bargain Bubbly Champagne & Sparkling Wine Deals Note Discussion

Oh Dear
It looks like Morrisons don't know what's going on? I went in to my local store on Friday and they had sold out of Bolly, so I rang another store and was informed that all stores had sold out and that the depot was empty and no more stock would be coming in.
Oh well will have to be quicker off the mark next time.0 -
Still don't understand this obsession with buying the over rated Moet - even at £14.
There are plenty of bargains at this time of year and for exactly the same money (£14) you can pick up a far nicer champagne, eg:
Piper Heidsieck Brut NV £14

Lanson Black Label Brut Champagne NV £14

Also at Morrisons for £13.45 a bottle? (Unless it's now sold out?)
For 4 quid more, Morrisons also had Bollinger's Special Cuvee NV: £17.95 (Unless it's now sold out?)
You can even pick up a good vintage champagne for a few quid more:
Heidsieck Gold Top Vintage 2004 Buy 2 bottles Save 50% = £18.99

Just been to Morrisons in Banbury they had 6-8 cases of Bollinger they were selling, grabbed my quota of 3 bottles. Cant go wrong with that at £17.95 a bottle.
If you are in the area, be quick it wont last long!!0 -
Out of all bubblies, laurent perrier (never on offer) is the nicest followed by moet for me, Lanson however is disgusting lol, that could be why they have loads in stock!0

Disagree about Laurent Perrier, though it's very nice - IMHO the best is Veuve Cliquot, also never on any decent offer unfortunately, but nice for a very occasional treat!

Sorry should have been more specific, the rose one
I saw the veuve on offer somewhere this week, only like £3 off though can't remember where!0 -
Majestic often have decent ish offers on Veuve, though it's never "cheap". The other grand marque bubbly I find really tasty is Taittinger - lovely, light and fresh, and although it retails for about £33 a bottle it is often on offer somewhere or other for £22-£23.
I bought a bottle for a special occasion earlier this year from an offer at Tesco.Operation Get in Shape

Veuve was on offer in Sainsburys. Not half price, and can't remember exactly what it was. Maybe a fiver off or something? You're my badger now Dave.0

Tesco are doing 2 x Hiedsieck monople blue top champagnes for £25 this week! Or 2 x Jack Daniels or one of each for £25.0
