I sent a email to Morrisons about that offer
Thank you for contacting us.
Please be assured that promotional products have been very carefully planned in advance and our distribution and retail colleague’s work extremely hard to ensure all stores are issued with what stocks are available at the time.
We can only sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this matter may have caused you but all our offers and promotions like these are very popular and are therefore subject to availability and this is stipulated on our advertisements.
We are always interested to hear what our Customers have to say and your comments are very valuable to us. I have taken the liberty of passing these onto my colleagues within the Company who are best placed to benefit from your feedback.
Yours faithfully

When I went to my local morrisson's on Wednesday I was told that they are having supplier probblems with the Bolly and Moet and that they are hoping to find another supplier. Not quite sure what that means!!!! Probably unlikely they will but who knows??0

I had M&S Cava last year - cannot remember which one as I think they had 2 - but it was very good.
The other cava we had last year which was excellent was Waitrose own brand - was £5.99 last year, it's gone up to £6.49 recently but may be on offer in December? Highly recommended if your budget does not stretch to champagne (or even if it does many people probably wouldn't notice the difference). Pic below:
Waitrose also stocks English sparkling wine if you want something different (don't scoff, some of it is suppossed to very good and has even beaten French champagne in awards/taste tests):
"Sparkling - The great success story - similar soils to champagne and edgier climate mean truly great English sparkling wines - as evidenced in blind-tasting international competitions where some English sparkling wines now beat the best of Champagnes"

Sainsbury's currently have the following on offer
Champagne Offenbach Rose 75cl
Save 50% was £37.99 now £18.99
It's excellent don't mean to go all Jilly Golden but it's wonderfully fruity so doesn't taste to dry and not at all acidic which I find some champagne and sparkling wine can be.
Also I would recommend Tesco (own brand) demi sec Cava (the one with the purple label) £4.13 a bottle.0 -
This website is supposed to be all about savvy buying and value for money.. NO champagne falls into that category!
I recommend you buy a nice bottle of Australian "methode traditionelle" fizz for c£8 and get twice the flavour for half the price or less. It's made the same way and the only way to tell is because it tastes better..
Or, for much the same price as champagne you can buy a bottle of red bordeaux you will remember drinking for years.. don't fall into the "grande marque" marketing trap! Champagne is overpriced and mediocreIf what I said helped you, please "Thank" the relevant post. It cheers me up somewhat..0 -
I asked in Morrisons Coventry today and they said they aren't going to be getting any more Bollinger in at all. Got a couple of bottles of Moet though. Don't drink champers much so probably won't tell the difference!
I did pick up some other good offers on spirits though and I got asked for ID which made my day!0 -
Yet again the supermarkets put a loss leading offer in place and limit stocks. I would like to know how many people actually got hold of some of this cut price champagne. As far as I am concerned these are a waste of time unless you get there on day one. Most of us work and cannot take advantage of these offers because the supermarkets do not ever stock enough. They use this as a marketing tool to get you through the door in the hope you will spend money elsewhere and it works. Do not be a mug and fall for this. It is odds on you will not get any. When is the OFT going to do something about it. If anyone did manage to get some I would be interested to know when and where?0

Not in the slightest - champagne comes in many sweetnesses - it's just the most common (and most of the "brands") are Brut or dry. You can also get demi-sec and sec in the supermarkets which are sweeter - I've only seen doux which is the sweetest in France.
Not disagreeing with you in that you're paying for the label and personally I like cremant de bourgogne which is the Burgundy fizzy wine. Most French wine areas have their cremant de.... which is generally as good as a good champagne, and about a third of the price.0 -
Didn't work with me I had shopping in the trolley, veg, fruit, bread and a few other bits got to wine section they ran out of champagne on my Thursday shop. Promptly put stuff back and walked out, they lost £80+ sales plus rest of this years stuff as I wont return so I reckon around £350 they lost assuming I do return in new year
I got the impression they had very little stock and or they put the whole lot outYet again the supermarkets put a loss leading offer in place and limit stocks.
