Pawlala's MFW diary (Part II now underway in earnest!)

Got my car insurance coming up in Oct so I won't be saving as much, but so far (Start of Sept with 4 more paydays to come) I've managed to save 79% of my 2010 target, and 20% of my MFIT-T2 target.
Lloyds vantage accounts are taking a hammering. Make hay while the sun shines, so to speak.
I anticipate at the end of the year I will have reached 119% of yearly target and be 30% towards 12/12/12.Mortgage free I: 8th December 2009!

ok so this is where I'm at, 12 months after paying off the first mortgage. Having had 12 months to build up some savings to pay for deposit on a bigger house for our kids, I'm taking on a new mortgage much earlier than expected. I didn't want to move until the very last minute, perhaps in line with my MFiT target at the end of 2012. But needs must and I'm moving to a different part of the country where the work is.
By the summer I will know where I am at with everything, but for now its a period of uncertainty, and I hate change.
So.... part 2 is most definately underway now, that is for sure. I have estimated that I will be completely mortgage free by June 2013 under current circumstances. I will try to update my diary when I know more :eek:Mortgage free I: 8th December 2009!

I've managed to get the freehold on my next property for nothing, saving £5000 which I would have paid. That means I'm 3 months closer to 12/12/12 MFW date! March 2013 est. Come on I can do it just some more thrifting here and there. Surely end of next year is not out of reach yet!Mortgage free I: 8th December 2009!

Things have been really hectic the last 6 months what with the new house and everything. New mortgage stands at just over £80,000 after OPing around £9,000 or near the 10% figure. SAving is still a priority now as I can't do any more OPing until Feb/Mar next year without penalty. hope everyone is well

Another 4 months before I can start OPing again without penalty. In the meantime the savings are the most important thing. Currently stashing away about £280 per month to go towards the next 10% limit.Mortgage free I: 8th December 2009!
