so this morning I am making a list of monthly savings since January on the mortgage payments. So far since the start of the year I have saved in total approx. about £400 in reduced payments, forecasting a yearly saving of £870. On 1st January that will be my first OPment. In the meantime I am putting £80 a month into a savings account. I love recycling money!:rotfl:Mortgage free I: 8th December 2009!

Happy Monday MFW'ers!
I'm 3 months closer to being able to overpay in chunks, I've already exhausted my 10% allowance for this calendar year. I've found out my mortgage rate will go up to the SVR of 4% next April, thankfully next year I hope to be achieve MF/savings parity, target of 31/12/12. New car and house extension aside, according to my calculations I've saved up enough to bring £71,000 down to about £880 by the end of next year. How good my maths is... only time will tell............Mortgage free I: 8th December 2009!
