I claimed back PPI from Welcome at the start of August and received this questionnaire back within a few weeks. Sent it back answering most questions as di3004 suggests (i.e. you have all the information you require).
Called them when the 8 weeks was up and they said that due to a massive backlog (everyone must be claiming this back!) they were running about 6 weeks late in resolving the cases. Decided to let them have the courtesy of 6 more weeks before getting the Ombudsman involved.
After about 5 weeks, got the offer for a full refund which I sent back immediately! The cheque should arrive anyday now.
I mention this just to warn those awaiting a decision that it may take longer than the 8 week timeframe, so call them the day the 8 weeks is up to get an update (if you haven't heard anything). And then decide from there which way to take it.
Hey Johnderby09, did you ever get your cheque, just wondering how long the whole process might take, we all know what Welcome are like with not sticking to their work.0 -
Got letter yesterday saying that whilst Welcome don't accept any of my arguments they are going to refund the PPI in full with 8% statutory interest. Sent my first letter middle of December.
Just waiting for my cheque now.
Thanks everybody0 -
