Thanks for all the hugs everyone. I'll just wait and see what happens and hopefully things will settle if not then it's time to change schools.
Right uniforms sorted, packed lunch made, school bags ready.
Time for bed, night all.Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough. And things go wrong no matter what I do.Now and then it seems that life is just too much. But you've got the love I need to see me through.:j :j0 -
Firstly from the last thread, massive hugs to Vanilla and sexymouse and grateful what a lovely supportive post you made - excellent advice for sexymouse.
On to this week
Thank you to the wondeful Pigpen, Toots and Soappie for keeping us all in order. I will attempt to do small amounts this week as I am still supposed to be resting while I wait for the start date for my treatment.
Just a few other things I can remember
Triker - slow down, you have done so much you are in danger of overdoing it.
Welcome Pink and tc3061. Hope you enjoy being here and remember to take baby steps. Oh and in your first weeks everything takes longer so dont expect to keep up with the thread its harder work than the flying sometimes with this chatty lot
Greenbee - the cake looks gorgeous, hungry again now.
Ok so what else did I do this afternoon.
Fed the WM & TD
Cooked Chicken on roasted vegetables for tea
Tried butternut squash for the first time
Made Caramel and Fudge muffins for the kids, which they said are lovely which is good as I kind of invented the recipe
Watched X factor and celerity (because I'm sad and its an excuse to sit down)
Need to sidle off to bed now as I have to get up to take DD to school as Dh will be at work at 630 again and I have sanwiches to make and uniforms to iron
Night all xMortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!0 -
Good evening :hello:
Been yakking on the phone this evening to 3 friendsafter a very busy week. But I am in this next week and I will be staying in the country for the WHOLE week
The Beetle drive was great last night (was helping to set up yesterday afternoon) and raised £300 :jI ended up auctioning some watches as well (don't ask!) which was a lot of fun. Sunday school and party for Miss A put paid to most of today as well.AnW's dot to dot method (TM) is a patented strategy for coping with her housework. She believes that if she does a bit here and a bit there, eventually she will see the full picture (a bit like a child's dot to dot picture). We have yet to see the proof of her strategy but I'm sure it will be proved in the end
Hmmmm sounds like a challenge to post some pics  Better do some more dot2dotting first :rolleyes:tootifruities wrote: »stars done and welcome pm to 33
dot2dot is AnW'sMum's patented idea! you pick an area or a hotspot and you totally clear it, gut it, and then you have to keep it clear/clean and then you move on to another one - eventually they all join up like a child's dot2dot picture! its brilliant and it works! beaten to it by Soappie!!!
You know I wish I had a £ for every time it was mentioned, I'd be rich:D But then I am rich, knowing all of you makes me rich beyond compare
Decluttering, and AnWsMum's patented dot-to-dot method, and the binbag flings are to be HIGHLY recommended.
OMG 3 references to lil ole me:o Love the way you snuck in your peg enquiry Valli :rotfl::T
Thornton's order done, I could not resist in the end and I know I can split it all down for Christmas Hampers as there are several of those I need to do.
Better get to bed, see you all on the morrow.

Bit OT but wanted to say I have a manic week this week, as well as usual school runs, swimming lessons, beavers, ante natal meet ups (7 years on!!!!), footy practice, toddler group we also have the following:
- DH hospital appt (regular thing, nothing serious)
- solicitors appt (nothing scary just having wills updated)
- mystery shop
- school meeting
- SENCO meeting
- babysitting
- haircuts
- fit in cake decorating with children
- school Xmas fayre
- playdate
- party
- photo session thingy
- dinner party
- DD1 has sight test at school (first one, she is nervous - bless), and they both have to take in decorations and cakes for school fayre
OMG I am exhausted looking at that. Its all on the calendar but I'm convinced I will forget someting. Maybe this is normal for most people ???!! I just dont like having so many odd one-off things in one week.
Apologies if I seem a bit frazzled this week.Jan GC: £202.65/£450 (as of 4-1-12)

I think I will make a start tomorrow, as I am off Monday/Tuesday this week.
I dont think it will take me to long to do it.
Its only the window frame, back of the door, bath panel, and skirting, to gloss.
Its the starting part that I find difficult. But once I am going, I really do go for it
I will add it onto my flying list for next week.
Do you have much to do ??
Whole house needs painting really but it is mostly fine for now except playroom which I started in September and have just stopped after doing 1 wall LOL
Need to do walls, ceiling and bay window fiddly bits. Also need to reseal some patches on ceiling where we had small water leaks from the shower in the bathroom above. Am not doing any glossing, that can wait til she is at school (in 3 years time LOL)
Trouble is I have a 2year old at home all day so she is the gaiting factor really.
We have blinds and lampshades ready to go up once its done, and the new furniture is already in ....:rolleyes:Jan GC: £202.65/£450 (as of 4-1-12)

I'm in again this week!! Thanks to Pigpen, Soappie & Toots.
Toots - Please may I be added to the ironing challenge. (Ironing pile was completed today & thought this could be my first new years resolution, I'm working on the basis that if I start now then by the new year I may succeed!! lol)
Welcome to all newbies & hugs to anyone in need.'Money and good health is coming easily to Flypeople'0 -
woops have posted lots of replies v close together sorry.
OT but could I have some parenting/teasing/mild bullying advice please?
DS is 6 1/2 and plays for an U7's football team. He's not very good, but he enjoys it and always wants to go, and this is a big thing for him as he anxious about loads of things. I was sure he would give up when it got dark, cold and wet but he still loves it.
One of the boys on the team, who he also knows from school, constantly tells hims he's "rubbish" and its upsetting DS. He will sit there and say" I am rubbish at football arent I Mummy". Poor wee soul. DH wants to stop taking him, but DS hasnt said he doesnt want to go and still enjoys it so I've said to DH we need to let him play for as long as he wants.
He said to DH after football yesterday that the boy had told him again that he's rubbish. DH said "make sre you tell Mummy", DS said "but I know what she'll say - she'll say just ignore him".
I don't know what else to tell him other than to ignore it.
Should we say to the coach ?
Should we say to the parents ?
All I want is for this boy to stop telling him he's rubbish.
I've read that all back and it sounds really trivial. We've never had a situation like this before, just not sure how best to handle it,
