Oh yes... I'm currently reading Bad Science (nearly finished). I think a lot of you would enjoy it... it explains really well how the media and others with agendas of their own manipulate and misrepresent facts, so we really don't know what's right or wrong.

I love Ben Goldacre's column, but my Science Writer friend says he's really not very nice in the flesh :o

DS is 6 1/2 and plays for an U7's football team. He's not very good, but he enjoys it and always wants to go, and this is a big thing for him as he anxious about loads of things. I was sure he would give up when it got dark, cold and wet but he still loves it.

I don't know what else to tell him other than to ignore it.

My otherwise sporty son isn't brilliant at football, but does love to play after a rocky start. Encourage your son to continue to play, and explain that he'll be fitter for it, he'll learn skills, he'll be in a team. Tell him that we can't all be good at everything and the bets thing is to join in and enjoy himself. You might also tell him that the other boy(s) aren't good at things he excells at. Best of luck :A

Dusty's words were excellent, and I totally agree with her division of clubs

Wipe down all the paintwork[/FONT][/COLOR][/STRIKE][/FONT][/COLOR] - thats how I found the mould behind a large wooden storage box

And that is how I found the mould behind the dresser in the kitchen:mad:. It is now emptied and mould has been treated with a noxious substance. Dinner will have to be out of the freezer tonight as I have everything to wash and put back:mad:

Thanks for all the swine flu jab messages. I will have it done on Thursday.

    Hello all!
Hope you are all doing OK? Once again I haven't managed to read the thread, but sending hugs to anyone who wants or needs one (or more....).

Have had a reasonably constructive day, and have done the following:

Monday ~ Kitchen and Dining room
    Level One
    [STRIKE]Declutter and mop/vacuum floor
Clear and wipe work surfaces[/STRIKE] And have completely reorganised the work surfaces - we moved in 18 months ago, dumped everything on the sides and it's basically stayed there until now...no thought or anything clever has gone into it until today...:o
    Level Two
    [STRIKE]Wipe units and large appliances[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Give one small appliance a good clean![/STRIKE] Did the stinky microwave
Wipe out the fridge and get rid of anything gross and slide the stuff that needs using now into your meal plan
    Level Three
Wipe the table, replace the cloth if needed and dust and deweb!
wash windows and any other glass.
Clean through the cupboard full of crockery.. throw out any chipped plates/mugs etc
    Extras
    1. Clean the oven and hob
    2. Wipe down all the paintwork
    3. Clean blinds and light fittings
    4. Dust and deweb.
There's still quite a bit of the list to do, but I'll see if I can catch it up tomorrow/later in the week....

I have also managed to sort out quite a few things - half an hour on DD's junk, same length of time on the filing (which was getting out of control), managed most of my dailies (still have evening ones to do), and will be tidying the living room once littleys have gone to bed. OH coming home later (usually 8pm on a Monday), so will cook for him, and Tesco order coming between 8 and 9pm. Phew! (And all that on 4 hours sleep - DS teething....). Oh yes, and have put labels on envelopes for Ch
s cards. Not written them, though (overseas ones went today :j).

Right, just heading into the witching hour - littleys going to get ready for bed in about 2 minutes!

Take care and see you tomorrow!

Hi all, well another day at work done. Was an earlier start today which I couldn't manage....had my epsom salt bath and slept like a baby.:D Could not wake up this morning, took me ages to get out of bed.:o

Did I mention I saw my specialist ME/Lymes doc last week, anyway on another 3 months of antibiotics and Low Dose Naltrexone to hopefully blitz the infection.
He was very pleased with my progress so far which is good to hear. He also recommended Magnesium which he said was an essential part of my recovery so need to get that.
Take it slowly with the epsom salt baths. I love them (you can add a few drops of essential oil too if you like). Magnesium - make sure you get magnesium citrate, and take it in the evening. I can give you the details of the stuff I have if you like.

My ankle's protesting a bit this evening because I had to wait so long for the bus this morning and there's no seat there so I need to rest it.
Take a stick. people will feel sorry for you and let you have a seat. Can you do a bit of private enterprise that looks like work instead of getting bored, or do you have to just work very slowly?
