And that is how I found the mould behind the dresser in the kitchen:mad:. It is now emptied and mould has been treated with a noxious substance.
11.gif I just wiped it with bleach but perhaps I should 1) try and find out why its getting like it and 2) try and get something to treat it properly

Take a stick. people will feel sorry for you and let you have a seat. Can you do a bit of private enterprise that looks like work instead of getting bored, or do you have to just work very slowly?

It wasn't that there was no seat, it was that there was no seating at all at the bus stop. It's a temporary one so no shelter, nothing to perch on, nowt. I did get to sit on the bus but as the journey took about 1/3 less time than it did to wait for the blooming thing it's a bit academic...

As to private enterprise that looks like work, that's a bit of a no-no too as my boss sits right behind me and can see everything I'm doing on 'puter. I shall have to have words in the next couple of days though. There's me, brain the size of a planet, willing to work etc.etc. and am sure I could do soooo much more in that place if they just let me. I think the problem is, it seems the previous person doing it was an airhead who needed hand holding all the way - they have probably not got used to the idea that not everyone's like that...

Mind you, she did say today that if I had any ideas on changing processes to let her know. Maybe I'll do a time/motion/efficiency report which will demonstrate that the department could function equally well with about 1/3 of the staff.......:D

Today I have...phoned and organised a load of people, done some work emails, done 3 loads of washing, half heartedly cleaned the sink, loo and bath, and...thats it.

Feeling almost normal, at least until i had a bath, when legs went wobbly. DH now has it.

eta greenbee that's the guy with the column in the grauniad also called bad science? i used to love that.

Hot water bottle made, kitchen tidy(ish), so just need to clean my teeth and climb into bed with my hot water bottle & a book.

Oh yes... I'm currently reading Bad Science (nearly finished). I think a lot of you would enjoy it... it explains really well how the media and others with agendas of their own manipulate and misrepresent facts, so we really don't know what's right or wrong.
oooh I want to read that - I picked it up in smiths, looked at the price and put it back again *sigh*

Valli ...........I need to ask, whats the story with the pegs ?
erm - some of us match our pegs so that you don't have, say, a red and a blue peg on one item of clothing. Some of us (well me for one) only have one colour of peg...I do like things to look nice but I am[STRIKE] REALLY odd [/STRIKE] 'special' ;) because I like to iron and iron almost everything...

I took my class to town today - and we didn't lose ANY! (They were looking at the Market) AND it was a successful trip because we came back with a CLEAN UNUSED ;) BUCKET!
and they all waved to Stan the flower seller (and former colleague of mine in another life!).
And my group BEGGED for sweets-and hotdogs- and failed miserably (gosh I am HARD)
My cough has turned into a chest infection - ace timing that and my ear aches (had it been Thurs/Fri I could have gone to the docs for antiBs)...but two more days and I'll have done
    *cofs pitifully*
ready to BLITZ the house on Thursday and Friday

newbies - you will get LOTS of SOUND advice on here as well as support but the most ACE advice IMHO (and taken to heart by me) is DECLUTTER.

I have ironed the last few items (6 I think!)

Had another stressful day at work between the deputy and the head teacher. Got through it due to a really nice teacher in another year-group who kept and eye on me cos she knew I was on my own. Good news is that the pair of us managed to do one of my assessments that I was worried about, so I've only got a maths assessment (nearly done) left before hopefully deputy will get off my back a bit. Got another maths assessment coming up next week though. Another bit of good news is that one of the teaching assistants has got a stall for the Christmas fair on Friday that we can run without buying anything - she said it'll all be laid out ready so we've just got to turn up and supervise.

Didn't get home in time to call the LEA or union again, but posted a message on Times Education website asking advice and people think that I need to go with the advice that the LEA lady gave (resign 3 weeks into spring and then get signed off) rather than request early release. Colleague said that this was the toughest term she's ever had there and actually witnessed head's rudeness to me today and asked me if she speaks to me like that all the time!

Since I've been home, I've marked some of my maths assessments (need to get together with colleague tomorrow to get some results from her), and eaten dinner. Have no more plans for school work tonight, so going to do a bit of flying, and have some chillout time instead.

Hugs to poohbear and to carol, and thank you again to everyone who has supported me and thought about me. It makes it more bearable knowing that I've got you all on my side.

Anyone fancy a HHC 8-8.30? My aim is to put away some of the clean washing, put all the dishes away, and tidy up the bedroom in that time.

    sexymouse xx

Toots pooh apart from DH you shouldnt be worrying about the rest IMHO you ahve more than enough on your plate looking after the 2 of you - (((hugs)) I hope this week is a bit better for you. xx you will have a very sore arm! Thanks Toots, but I find it hard to say no to them all.

Kaz, I used a 3 in 1 mould killer and felt really odd and fainted so I don't recommend it. DH got a fright. It happened another time I used it but I thought it was that I was too hot! I definitely will not be using it again. Bleach, it will be, next time.

Hugs Sexym - sorry you're still having an awful time of it. Could you get that colleague to write you a statement about the head's rudeness to you today? You don't need to do anything with it yet, but if it's written down and signed and dated by the colleague - along with the "does she speak to you like that all time" bit, it could really help in the future xxx

glad you're ok Sexy - I'm begining to think of THOSE two (IYSWIM) as Burke and Hare...and at least others are seeing SOMETHING of how you're being treated.
Shame you're not near here - I know of a school looking for a teacher for a Y4 class for two terms from Jan!
