Massive hugs Quillion - the problem with Christmas is that we all try and please everyone else or we feel selfish. You should do what YOU want to do. If you planned to stay at home and then your mum didn't come would you still have a good time? Tell you what....why don't you all come round to mine (DH cooks so I'll let him know the number nearer the time!!!!). I can just see it on Christmas Eve 'darling, do you really think that turkey will stretch to feed 57?' xxxxxx
Thanks Mudbath that made me smile.
We would have a good time and will have to go up to MIL's in the afternoon. Just can't relax i need to work on DH we are going to his mums on boxing day whay can't that be enough. If he needs to go to his mothers he can nip up in the morning that way we can have some wine with dinner a few floaty coffee's and mints and just veg in front of the tv playing games with ds he has had for xmas. Now ther is a plan.
I like the Elf idea and my mum has knitted one too. Officially Debt Free Nov 2012 :beer:0 -
Quillion - sweetheart, the biggest hugs in the world and I know exactly where you are coming from. You made me cry for I wish my Dad was still here too and my Gran. Mum was invited here but because we are not going to hers on Boxing Day (for the first time in 18 years of marriage) and all but one of the 42 years of my life (exception being when I was on a 6th month trip to Oz) she is in a strop and thus has told DS1 that she is not coming here Christmas Day sorry but !!!!!!! DS1 said she is being spiteful, DS2 said she is being a coward getting DS1 to tell me - should 15 and 13 year olds be dealing with this? No, No and No again. My solution, for today, Dolly and Rose!!The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0
