embb 25 wow I'm kicking off for him having it on 20 hehe....but I just can't afford £3 per day in gas (me & kids had it at 17 and went to bed) They probably couldn't do the bricks on houses here as some are bought. They were built in 1968 (when my neighbours moved in) as temporary housing for the post office, recommended to stay up no more than 30 years but no word of them being pulled down etc (I checked before we moved in)

wilf that is great news for your DS & well done with the furniture!

Hmmm not done much, best get in the shower
One day I might be more organised...........

Wilf that's fantastic, well done your DS :T

Fedup delete that number NOW! :D

Lil_me mine's terribly inefficient, thermostat doesn't work properly and the boiler is as old as the hills, can only feel the heat if you're actually sitting on the rads lol, I found out today at least that my house isn't being pulled down, so that's something. You got me worried now saying about some being bought, as the councillor did say that they hadn't decided how to insulate my type of house yet (some are bought too) the others will def get a brick skin, hope I get one

embb they have not even mentioned it here, I don't think they are very inefficient as houses where we are, about C band which is better than the last 2 brick builts and we do have a newish combi (they been in about 3 years) I think the biggest issues with the style I live in is no loft at all & asbestos somewhere in the walls so people ae reluctant to do anything at all with them. The housing officer said to me she had heard nothing of any improvements (they did combi/shower and kitchen apart from shower vent as contractors refused recently) so until one falls down :rotfl:I think they will stay as they are here.

wilf difference is your DS wasn't born into high level support, he's earned it & appreciates it :D

  • Good morning lovelies [STRIKE](it is still morning...JUST)[/STRIKE] well it was when i started writing this lol

Sorry been AWOL had a stressie and upsetting week but its weekend and im off work so should start feeling less stressed soon I hope. Its 1 year today since I left my husband and my old life, still upsets me but i know i would never go back to him.

Had the 12 month check on the gas yesterday and still no part for the fire (been waiting for the part since the day I moved in which was 1st Dec 2008). Also now need a new part for the cooker wonder how long thats gonna take (thankfully can still use it!)

I ventured into my 2nd eldests bedroom the other day (hes 17) and blitzed it coz it was a right sh1thole, no floor, empty wardrobe, 10 million plates and glasses (wondered where they had all disappeared to) and I found the CAMERA you know the 1 that he hasnt had or used for ages  so today I am going to be getting rid of all the stuff ive been hanging onto coz of the memories (mostly ballgowns worn once but never got rid of them coz they reminded me of that particular night blar blar blar sentimental carp really) so they will be going on ebay either today or tomorrow as I dont need a daily reminder of my past life every time i open the wardrobe door. They are also taking up too much space so if they sell I will be able to buy something new to wear for Christmas.:T

On the love front ive still got the boyfriend and he has been very supportive this week bless him (im sure he doesnt need all this carp but hes still here and not complained yet!)

Ive decided for Christmas I am going to treat myself to a dishwasher but will need to get a plumber as there is no plumbing available for it grrrrrrrrr

    Anyway ive babbled on enough,
Will try to catch up on thread

  • Just had a phonecall from my work colleague and im soooo glad I wasnt working this morning! Someone has tried to commit suicide at the hotel so its chaos there, luckily she is still alive, but awww what a shame bless her, she must be really really down, its kind of made me put my life in perspective, onwards and upwards from now on and no feeling sorry for myself coz my life at the moment really aint that bad!
