charges for 07744 simply-fone/merged

Hi there, I currently am on a Any Network 750mins Per/ Month plan with Orange, this was done as I have been with them from some time and they talked me into that plan to keep me as a customer.
I made a call for 12mins to Pakistan earlier in the week and they did not take it of my talk plan, when I called up I was told Orange would charge either 50p (peak) or 25p off peak? Anyone else have problems?

Ask for this information from them in writing. It is 10 p/ min offpeak and 25 p/ min peak as per the letter that I received.

Orange do not charge contract customers,with cross network minutes, to call 07744 numbers at the moment.This has been confirmed many times in this thread and on other sites. :T

The danger is, as explained before, if people keep ringing/emailing and asking them what they charge,they might start charging again!!!!!

Hi, Do you mean to say Orange is foolish and it has restarted allowing these calls without knowing.

Orange have started charging for freephone so they could start charging for these 07744 calls again,after all other networks already do so.But at at the moment they dont so enjoy.

Just tried simply fone and calls do not go through. Get a "Service is unavailable" message displayed on the phone... :-(

works fine - 2p per minute to call it via 18185 at weekends ...

Its working fine for me both on 07744 97 4116 and 4404.I have just made a couple of calls to India.

I use it from my Virgin Contract Mobile x-net minutes,and they allow it.They dont charge.

i'm newish to this site but this 07744 thing is fantastic!!

just one thing - i called USA & eUROPE & i have to say that the quality on 07744 974404 was better than the ...116 one

is this just me or............

I am on 1000 min off peak xNET with Orange and using 07744321123 to call Pakistan and that comes in my Inclusive minutes, Orange is not charging me for calling to this number.
