I'm on Orange anytime (any network) 400 tariff and to-date, I haven't been charged for calls to Simply-fone. Awaiting my next bill in the next few days, hope they haven't started charging now otherwise my bill's gonna be huge!! Is there anything that you can do if they haven't charged you for months but start charging you without notifying you?0
-
why should they start to charge?
i'm bemused at your pessimissm
its an unreal service. Just take advantage and use 07744 974 363 for alll them international calls!
[my querie is this: how the heck does 18866 and ilk stay in business...? there's no way they can offer uk calls for just 1p and not lose money]0 -
I'm with Orange (who seem to be not charging for these calls so far!), but every time I try to dial I get 'sorry, we can't connect your call at present'. Have tried different times of day, different numbers etc.
Have they caught on?!0 -

I know that s-fone will send you the email from 3 cust.service that a client of theirs received [& was good enough to pass to them]
your best bet is to contact s-f and ask em for copy of that email.
i've found s-fone to be very obliging and fast to respond.

Thank you for the email you have sent regarding charges for dialling a
certain number.
Most of the 07744 number range are held by a company called "Inquam
Telecom". They are not Vodafone numbers. This number range is typically
set up as Personal Numbering Service numbers to supply services & is hence
charged outside allowance.
It appears that OFCOM list on their website that 077 numbers are part of
a consumer range. It may be that the above company are in breach of
Trading Standards legislation by using the same for a Personal Numbering Service.
If you have any further queries or questions please do not hesitate to
reply to Contact.Centre@three.co.uk or call us by dialling 333 direct from
your handset or 08707330333 from any UK phone, this call will be charged at
National Rate.

That clarifies 3's position very well; they have probably complained to Ofcom about it. Their messages that they will not charge certain customers subject to or pending an Ofcom decision may imply they hope the situation will alter.0
