Thanks thats what I will do Quincy. I was only testing it anyhow so no real loss although it would have been nice to actually find some use even if it was to surf net.

I stick with XP and when I will upgrade soon hopefully the new hardware will run better on Vista.

Just now the confusing time, what to get, or shall I wait until the new Intels come out in July.

It will be a home built pc btw

Just wish they could release a Live CD like Linux, now that should ofcourse be how Betas work anyway in my opinion.

Thats a great Idea. That would let people see it before actually having to install it and see what work would be needed to get thier computer up and running.

When installing the WG111T go to the netgear site and download the newest drivers. Install them including the utility (you cant do it any other way).follow the instuctions and plug in the adapter (it wont connect). reboot. when comp restarts take out adapter and uninstall the utility and drivers from control panel and then reboot again. When comp starts again just insert the Adapter and let windows install it automatically. This will then install the drivers without the utility and Vista will manage the connection and all should be OK

Yes thank god, it's not often bill gates gives something away, and it was nice to get a preview, but after all the problems I've had with it I'll be waiting for the price to drop before I go buy it, T ps still got vista on this pc but it keeps going hay wire, so wont be long before I format.

  • I'm gutted, I really wanted to try Vista, but was a way from home for a while and then the program closed. If there is anyone on the board who has given up with it but would let me use their product key I would be most obliged, I don't want to get an msdn subscription to try it out, (horrendously expensive!)
