Good recipe finder website with lots of recipe suggestions here

Specify the ingredients you have, in the Recipe Finder panel, for specific ideas.

It's 2 weeks until pay day and I seriously have no money. So I am going to do this challenge for the next 2 weeks. I am still going to buy some essentials like milk and bread but I am going to get my thinking cap on and see how many tins, frozen foods and other bits I can use.

I am starting tonight by using a tin of stewed steak throwing in frozen peas and a carrot I have found in the fridge and topping with potatoe also found in the fridge.

A good website is love food hate waste

All of today's meals came from the store cupboard:

    Brunch - jalapeno French toast

Dinner - soya mince cottage pie

Pudding: cheesecake (from a packet someone gave us)

    Snack - savoury rice
  • I think I may join you two if you want some company for the next couple of weeks.
I really only need to buy fresh stuff for at least a month or two.

Today had Veg biriani with everything from the stores, but that was using up the last of the ill veg at the bottom of the frigde.
Still got some to use but chopped it all up today and will use it tomorrow to add to cous cous.

Blimey, I have just cleared out my kitchen cupboards and I'm amazed at how much pasta I have! I think it will be pasta for breakfast, dinner and tea! Only joking!

Well tomorrow I am going to make pasta shapes with a tin of tuna and sweetcorn that I have found in the cupboard.

I think I can probably keep going for another two weeks on the stuff I found :T

  • Ha, It's rice in my house, I could feed a village for about a month, certainly will not need any for the rest of this year, and that's at a ratio of about twice a week!
