First thing that jumped out at me was a veggie curry using the potato (par boiled) and a mix of the frozen veg mixed in with a tin of toms, always better with onion but can be done without if needed and for day 2 leftovers you could defrost/cook the kievs and chop them up and add to the curry along with the bacon (cooked & chopped)
    That is 2 days sorted.

If the chicken kievs are not that tasty, slice thinly and pour chickem noodle soup over one and have with veg. use one between you depdending on size of course.

For pudding make a kind of Christmas cake trifle.

Sprouts, thinly slice and fry with garlic till crispy...really, really nice.

Slice potatos thinly after cutting off green bits, add stock to lightly cover and then put cheese slices on to melt near end of cooking when stock will have evaporated to some/lot extent. Or use milk, dab of butter and cheese.

Have you got any bread rolls? I would cook the kievs, slice them in half and serve in the bun with a slice of cheese and some chilli sauce/mayo like a chicken burger.

I know what you mean about nasty Kievs, DD bought some, she cooked one then the rest lurked in the freezer for an age!

Use the pancake mix and spread the pancakes with nutella :-)

Wrap the sausages in the bacon & grill, make a chili with the chili sauce, beans & veggies.Lay the oven chips in a bowl & ladle on the chili veg sauce, add a bacon wrapped sausage, add a couple of the processed cheese slices & pop under the grill until melted.

You could also spread some Dairylee onto a ricecake & add some pickled chili as a side dish..

Pasta with sausage/tomato sauce, or bubble & squeak using the potatoes/sprouts/onion/cheese slice with sausages.

Bit of info on quantities would help but...

And you have a massive amount of sweet stuff I have taken out of the equation.

    Any onions? Flour?

    I'm DETERMINED not to shop!

    For how long?

    Protein
Corned beef - small tin - corn beef hash with potatoes other wise half a tin and then use the rest for another meal
Tuna chunks - half a tin as fishcakes - consider freezing one portion for OH later in the week. Half a tin with tomatoes and flavouring as a pasta sauce for you. freeze half for you later in the week.
    Processed cheese slices (for burgers)
    Dairylea triangles
3 sausages - halve them and make into a stew with half a can of veggie soup and some veggies. Serve chips for OH and pasta or rice for you
2 Chicken kievs (not very nice ones, but will eat if all else fails...) - slice and make a stew as per the sausages above but use chicken soup.
3 slices bacon - grill lightly, cut into small pieces and layer with potato, a dairy lea triangle or two. Add half a tin of veggie or chicken soup.
    Green pesto
Bowl of beans - green or dried and cooked?

    Milk
    Butter
    Pickled chillis

5 cans of soup including: chicken noodle, oxtail, beef broth and vegetable
Bag of frozen veg (broccoli, cauliflower, carrots type thing)
    Sprouts (heave )
    4 cans chopped tomatoes
1 carton chopped tomatoes with basil
    cream crackers
    Stock cubes
various sauces including bbq, chilli, sweet chilli, hot pepper, ketchup etc
    lots of indian spices

    Rice cakes
    Risotto Rice
    Fusilli
    Basmati rice
Tilda microwave packet rice, lime and coriander flavour

slighty green potatoes with roots growing.
Quarter of a bag of oven chips

Crepe mix from FIL - is this sweetened? Otherwise it is another carbohydrate for you. Make a bean stew or mix veggies with the cheese, wrap in pancakes and grill.

I have a few ideas, but trying to do new stuff, plus OH is REALLY fussy.... He doesn't like rice, or pasta apparently :wall:

    Tinned peaches
    Fruit cocktail
    Digestives
    Custard powder
    Rice pudding
    Mince pies
    Nutella
    xmas cake
If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing
  • I think I'd be tempted to do as someone else in the thread suggested and to cut the kievs up thinly and use them in a different way than intended. Maybe crush the cream crackers and mix with a little seasoning and dip chicken kiev rings into beaten egg and then the crumbs, and lightly fry in a very little oil until golden and done. Then you could serve it with a vegetable risotto made using stock and some of the frozen veg and other veg if you want to. Bake a couple of potatoes (without the sprouty bits) and serve with baked beans mixed with mixed veg, BBQ sauce and a few spices to pep it up - lovely and comforting on a winter evening. We're having that tomorrow night :D

    Hope that helps
