Hi Mardatha, as you are really not eating much, why not try padding out what you have got? Try and get a portion of fruit at breakfast and put loads of lentils in your lunchtime soup and eat with a small egg sandwich. Very nutritious and shakes a fist at your ME. Halve your mince/stew and puree your veg and have with lots of gravy. I think it is so hard to even think straight when your energy is low. Do you like rice pudding and custard?0

Oh god you are so right Juliettet re not being able to think straight. It is a vicious circle and I do know that, but once yur down yur down so to speak, and its hard to get back up. You either cant be bothered to think or you cant be bothered to do what you thought about
The egg sammich sounds nice, I got a breadmaker, hens and lovely eggs... Good idea.
I take Scots style porridge every morning done with water and salt + a glop of single cream on top. I am making soup today, will put in a shovelful of lentilsI love any kind of pudding & custard ! LOL -but we never seem to have it now.

@mardatha aka @mardywotsit You have to eat in order to maintain health. There are recipes out there that are 1) delicious 2) low fat by default rather than tastelessness ie Carrot and Noodle Salad with rice or egg noodles, veggies of choice, and nuts 3) cheap (Some of these so called posh Cookbooks by Jane Grigson, Elizabeth david etc whilst scorned upon actually contain some wonderful peasant food gems.
Please my Scottish friend look after thy body.x#TY[/B] Would be Qaulity MSE Challenge Queen.

PLEASURE is my secret weapon against the invidious and destructive magnet that is self-destruction. Even if it degenerates into willful self indulgence that is a good thing if it adds a delicious reason NOT to go taking oneself down Destructive Alley (or pathway for my Highlands Uplands friends).#TY[/B] Would be Qaulity MSE Challenge Queen.

@mardywotsit Just have a moderate portion! I love my food and would classify myself as a Foodie but I can't face plates with too much food on even if moi has cooked it herself. It's far better to have the Seconds option!
Food eating will also impact on your energy so you can think straight and get your wee Scottish self into more Self Loving Avenues or Self Loving walks on the Uplands.#TY[/B] Would be Qaulity MSE Challenge Queen.

2 Chicken kievs (not very nice ones, but will eat if all else fails...)
Bag of frozen veg (broccoli, cauliflower, carrots type thing)
Sprouts (heave )
Fridge:
Milk
Processed cheese slices (for burgers)
Dairylea triangles
Butter
3 sausages
3 slices bacon
Bowl of beans
Pickled chillis
Green pesto
Cupboards:
Tinned peaches
Fruit cocktail
Rice pudding
Corned beef
Tuna chunks
Digestives
Custard powder
Rice cakes
5 cans of soup including: chicken noodle, oxtail, beef broth and vegetable
4 cans chopped tomatoes
1 carton chopped tomatoes with basil
Crepe mix from FIL
Mince pies
Nutella
xmas cake
Risotto Rice
Fusilli
cream crackers
Stock cubes
various sauces including bbq, chilli, sweet chilli, hot pepper, ketchup etc
lots of indian spices
Basmati rice
Tilda microwave packet rice, lime and coriander flavour
slighty green potatoes with roots growing.
I have a few ideas, but trying to do new stuff, plus OH is REALLY fussy.... He doesn't like rice, or pasta apparently :wall: I'd like this to last as long as possible before I need to shop!0 -
2 things that jump out are...
corned beef hash
tuna fishcakes0 -
Thanks! Fab!
I also should mention I'm trying to lose weight, hence why I'm not just cooking up chips and kievs etc.
I think my other half would love the tuna fishcakes with sweet chilli dip!0
