Not sure if this has been done before, but today i was thinking that i'm sick of spending £60-£100 a week on shopping wheh my cupboards and freezer are stocked with enough food to live off for a month. More importantly this food just never seems to be eaten as we go for the quickest options in the fridge usually!
So for the next three weeks i plan to spend no more then £10 a week on food shopping and use up what we have in, that £10 will cover my toddlers milk, toilet roll and so on. Its about time i cleared my freezers out too!
So tonight's dinner will be chilli on jacket potatoes with side salad. LO will have bolognaise on his potato using the mince cooked for the chilli.
I am going to write an inventory of everything i have to use up then make meal plans with it, that way i know what is available and wont feel so restricted when the fridge looks a tad bare!
The money saved will go on our xmas food shop card hopefully so in three weeks i should of saved atleast £200 for xmas timeMummy of a beautiful little boy and fanatical about christmas:xmassmile:snow_laug:santa2:

Hi guys, would like some help please.
I'm a Coeliac, my other half isn't. We tend to end up eating separate meals because of this. Also, I don't want to go shopping again, until I really have to.
In my cupboard I have:
Sugar (Brown, caster & icing);
GF Flour (Self Raising, Bread, Cornflour & Plain);
Baking Powder;
White & Fibre Mix;
GF Cornflakes;
GF Breadcrumbs;
Rice (Ground, Basmatti & Long Grain);
Chow Mein Stirfry Sauce;
Yeast;
Penne;
GF Crackers;
Stock Cubes & Pots (Chicken & Beef)
Nut Luncheon;
Tuna;
Evaporated Milk;
2 Tins of Baked Beans;
Custard.
My partner's cupboard contains all of his pasta types, as well as our tea supplies and our spices.
If anyone could suggest any recipes, especially quick & easy ones, it would be very appreciated. I have already tried looking on here.
Thanks.
