    Urgh :o
I keep popping in to read how you all are doing because I really really want to join BUT I know I wouldnt manage it :(. I have a teeny freezer with 2 shelves and a drawer (it had 3 drawers but I took 2 out so I could fit more in) and I never seem to get it run down. I would love to be able to but then I either spot bargains and put them in or I decide to try and new recipe which means normally making a meal for 4 people which I then portion up and put in meaning I NEVER see the bottom of it!!!
Worst thing is I know there is stuff in there that has been in there for ages and try as I may I cannot get it used.
Well done all of you for making a dent in your freezer/store cupboards :T

elf06 - you need to turf it all out and make a list of the contents then mealplan around it. The whole process over a few weeks will clear space and bring down your shopping bill
Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!

    throw stuff out :rotfl:

Haha I do mealplan and I do use stuff up but I always seem to fill it again just as quick :o I am a fan of the 'rubber' chicken but as there is just me and DS it lasts a long, long time and can easily be in there for over a month. I also do the GC and although it could always be brought down I am reasonably happy with it - just in awe of you guys managing to clear room when I clearly cant :rotfl:

I tried meal planning..... it went out the window after two days:o DD stays school dinners and I found that I was planning sausage, mash & beans for example and then she'd have sausage for lunch :rotfl: I tried getting hold of the menus the school use so I could plan around it, but they sometimes changed it around or DD choose the vegetarian option, or a salad or a sandwich instead. :rotfl: The only thing I know for certain is that 99.9% of the time on a Wednesday she'll have a roast dinner so I try to plan a meat free meal that night. She does the same on a Sunday when she goes out with her dad for the day, she has KFC, McDonalds or Pizza Hut so I've given up on making chicken or beef anything on a Sunday :rotfl:

No idea what to have tonight, we had beans on toast last night and pasta the night before as I need quick meals while doing my uni assignment. :undecided Chippy is looking likely....

If DS likes ready break then try to get him onto (fortified) porridge as it's much cheaper and better for everyone. You can always add a spoon of cocoa/hot choc to make it into chocolate powder for a pudding.

Looks like you'll still be eating really well this week, nice work! Do you reckon seeing how easy it is to eat for cheap might make you spend a bit less on food in future?
