Will have a good ferret through me cupboards next week and see what I can find. From memory I know I have a box of suet, a box of vannilla blamange, and a jar of cherries in kirsch. Any ideas anyone
How about a roly poly? Make a suet pastry, spread with the blamange, then halve some cherries and pop them on top. Then roll up.

come on then - share the delights of the store cupboard that contributed to these masterpieces
The carrot omelette used a tin of carrots (no idea where they came from, but not as good as the 8 cans of beer I once found in my room), some eggs and some milk!
And the corned beef supreme used a jar of chicken supreme cooking sauce, a tin of corned beef and some rice.
I've also had some weird pasta combinations, but I can't remember them.Murphy's No More Pies Club #209

I was looking in my cupboard and fridge, and made the following today :
Plain flour (4oz)
Butter (2oz)
little bit of water
and made some shortcrust pastry using a recipe I found on Delia Smith's website. I then made a flan using up some cooked tesco value chipolatas and some mushrooms and onions sliced up, with 2 eggs and a bit on milk mixed in on top. I put it in the oven for about 1/2 hr on 190C.
As a pudding I used some left over pastry and some bits of lemon curd and jam that needed finishing and made some jam / curd tarts ( I put them in at the same time as the flan).
I'm looking forward to trying out some of the ideas I've seen here ;D0 -
