HELP!
cream cheese added to potato soup is amazingly delicious! all of the cheeses/cream mentioned could be added to soups or casseroles and would make them ever so moreish. also i love anything like that on a baked potato (or better still a twice baked potato!) or you can do cheesy bean burritos by putting baked beans on a tortilla and sprinkling some grated monteray jack, then wrap it up buritto style, microwave for a minute or so to melt the cheese and voila, scrummy dinner!0 -
Found some dried chick peas and stuff that's been in the cupboard for months. I've soaked overnight and will be making a soup today. Adding onions, carrots, potatoes and organic stock and a couple of beef bones which cost 25p.
Might even make enough to freeze some - but usually hubby carries on eating until it's gone in one sitting!0 -

I do this once every three months or so. I grow a lot of my own spuds and veg and make my own bread so usually just need eggs, milk and the odd bit of cheese. The kids actually love "freezer diving" weeks because the meals get far more inventive, lol.Val.0
