the first pm I sent was a couple of weeks back so I sent a reminder
you make it sound like you've been harrassed
the abuse team have asked us to send the following pm to any member we see with a large signature
SIGNATURE SIZE
Hi, Martin’s asked me to pm this in these circumstances: Sorry to ask but your signature is too large and disturbs the flow of some threads slightly. Would you mind reducing it? (Please see this rule). If you have any questions about this policy please email abuse@moneysavingexpert.com.
It refers to Martin's rule on signature size belowMSE_Martin wrote:SIGNATURES
Please ensure your signature takes up a minimum amount of space. Large signatures can make threads harder to read.
most people when asked have changed their signature without a dig at a BG doing her job as asked by the team
no-one has said that they mind and all have understood that for someone with a small pc screen a signature of 4 or more lines can take up half a pageI am a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Wales, Small Biz MoneySaving, In My Home (includes DIY) MoneySaving, and Old style MoneySaving boards. I have been trying to do this for the past month, I will continue to use bits up but am already running quite low. It feels good, my cupboards aren't as cluttered as they were before.Nevermind the dog, beware of the kids!0

I'm definatly in!
I've just done April's finances and discovered we have spend £400 in the supermarket!!!!!!!! And thats just for 2 adults (and 3 kids on the weekends). Its probably not all on food (damn Asbo's with their massive stores) but appaling nonetheless.
So, i've done a list of everything in the cupboards and freezer. We should definatly be able to live for a month by buying only fresh stuff (i'm thinking bread, milk and fruit). Got tons of frozen veg but prob have to buy some salad stuff.
I've never done anything like this before - any tips?0 -
I'm in - May is 'May not' in the Henhog house!!!!
Thanks for the thread - we can support each other.

Well I have done an inventory of the freezer and cupboards and reckon I will easily be able to do the month just by buying fruit and veggies, That is for myself, DH and DD15.I am going to sort out a menu plan next and try and get organised.Looking forward to this challenge and intend to use all saved shopping money towards holiday spends in June.
Good Luck everyone.

Count me in too please!
This is a good time for me to attack the stockpile of things lurking in my cupboards - when everyone was doing this challenge at the start of the year, I was still recovering from the shock of how much I'd been spending on groceries / takeaways / booze for one adult + one cat (she's teetotal, so that helps a bit!)
With some radical changes in March and April, I cut this back to around £150 a month (roughly half what I'd been spending before!) but I realise I could do better still with some more effort!
So thanks for the inspiration, and good luck to everyone!0 -
My freezer really needs a clear out, so this is something I'd like to try in conjunction with the May grocery challenge.
I know I've got minced meat & chicken breasts in freezer - but not sure how long they've been there
Does anyone know how long they can be in freezer before they're no longer safe to defrost, cook & eat?some people grin and bear it, others smile and do it0 -
Count me in please - just found a load of fish in the bottom of the freezer so will be using them up first i think!!!!0
