    Amazing innit? :)

Did you spot the link to the site where you put in your ingredients and it gives you a list of recipes?

No, I'll have a look at that - it sounds fun. On https://www.flyingcracker.com you can put in the contents of your drinks cabinet and it will suggest cocktails you can make! Couldn't find any suggestions for some ancient martini and a can of skol for some reason :rotfl:
  • My tastiest, most yummiest use up everything gowing weird in the fridge/cupboard meal was 'mediterranean' sausages with fancy mash.
sausages, fried with wilting peppers and tomatoes, then mash with the scrapings of cream cheese, some herbs and the end of the cream day befroe out of date. Absolutely gorgeous!!! My friend gave me a corgette the size of a baseball bat at the weekend, so I will be being creative with it later and with all the 'surprises' at the back of my fridge to see if I can last until next week before shopping again!

Please can you find a drinks related thread (that's ON TOPIC - you know what these boozers are like :)) and post your link into it so it shows up in the indexing when I reach here?

A couple of months ago I froze some home made quorn stew. Is it safe to eat it. I have a fridge that has three dark stars and one light one. I need to know as I am down to the dregs of my fridge and cupboard and need to last until Tuesday morning as my leg is too bad to go shopping and I am not ready to do it online until next week either!

Please help me I am a hobbling wreck oh and hungry.

Yes it'll be fine. Usual rules apply - make sure you reheat thoroughly :)

Right, my cupboards and freezer are pretty choc full at the moment, so I'm going to try the challenge :D

I may need to get some tinned tomatoes as some many of the things I like to eat are based on toms, and I'll need milk but other than that I intend to do uber cooking this weekend with what I've got, and batch it up ready for freezing and eating later on - no more ready meals for me!

I've posted to bump this back up a bit for inspiration! I think cheesy mash will make a big appearence - that should freeze ok, shouldn't it? And like everyone else I've more tuna than I can shake a stick at, so I think that some form of fish cake is in order (tuna and cheesy mash, sort of mudged together?)

Tuna and mash works well. Bit dry though. What I usually do is a sort of tuna "corned beef hash" and dish it up either with a white sauce and some veggies, or deliberately dilute the juice of a tin of baked beans (a bit) and pour them on top (when heated) after the tuna mash is done. Cheese on top makes it very very filling.
