Turned out it was a mistake for them to decline my credit application after further investigation as to why i was declined despite no adverse and high BS on account! I am fuming! So what should i do?

LOL...ive scanned the letter above after many problems resizing the letter....hope you can read it ok. What should i do next? They did say that i have to make a fresh credit card application even though they have acknowledged i should have been accepted at the time back in Dec 2009.

Now i got Tesco and Flybe, i don't know if that will affect my chances of being sucessful when i reapply again.

Well done mate - apply! They will overrride the decision, exact same happened to me in that I applied and spoke to the branch who confirmed I would be accepted. Eventually I was. It takes a while but so long as they update notes then the relevant dept will accept the application.

Go into branch though cos they can override any auto decline - however also take your letter.

Urgent: By the way remove the reference number within the letter - if you put IB at the start it is your internet banking ID! :(:(

Me and my mother had a meeting with a few solicitors today to discuss her case (she's suing her former employer) and they said they are applying to the high court in Edinburgh for a date to present the case. The solicitors put in the papers that they wish to claim compensation for the amount of £200,000 and an additional £10,000 for myself for the inconvenience and expenses I incurred as a result of my mothers situation.

The case has been ongoing for the last 3 years and they expect it to continue for some years to come but it'll be bloody worth it in the end.

Spoke to the HSBC telephone banking early this morning and the department who dealt with the credit card applications said they will manually reassess my credit card application.... the good thing is they will not credit check me as they have done back in Dec 2009, so got to wait for a couple of days before i know. Hopefully with a successful outcome.

Is this to do with unfair dismissal? Can't believe it has been ongoing for 3 years.... and expect to continue for a few more years! Best of luck to you and your mother.:D

Ahh okies, you know what I mean - whenever you contact HSBC from anything done "online" the reference is your IB number and it just panicked me - glad it's not though....

I'd presume it is the reference of your complaint. Best of luck with the reassessment. If it comes back as a decline then you need to go into branch, :D
