I am wondering if it depends on whether you have moved and if you name stands out enough they can be sure you are the same person as the one who previously defaulted as obviously a CRA wont e holding the data now(or shold not be). It does seem though that even after default the account was never acually closed.
My brother did the same things RBS with his student account a long time ago, thing is he is overseas now so cannot get him to apply just to see what comes back, he would happily oblige if he though it was getting "up their noses". Not a big fan of banks my wee brother.0 -

Account is closed when settled/defaulted. They cannot maintain data forever...i would think 6 to 8 years would be the maximum they can collect and store data after account closed whether it is settled or defaulted.0 -
Afternoon all. I've spent the whole weekend marking year 11 coursework to make my boss look good. I'm having 5 minutes to myself and hitting the gym now.0

I'm hoping my Aqua card will turn up tomorrow... but then pigs might fly! This damn redirection slows everything down so much too haha, and we don't get post in halls on Saturday so basically I could easily be waiting until next week!.... if it comes at all!
Those jokers at Cap1 aren't going to delete the pending transactions (understandable I suppose, but it's clearly an error so they could use a bit of common sense tbh) so I've got to wait... But we got to the final so I need to find another, non-maxed out card to buy those train tickets with.... come on Aqua!!0
