all banks do a swift payment service chaps etc although ud pay up to £35 dependin on the bank for the privilage, its a toughey mate but u need to face facts really theyve now done a full investigation and pointed out you defaulted with them and there tellin u to look elsewhere
basically there tellin u to f!k off, and if u dont want a crap account
i think ull need to..........0 -
well i do have a current account with A+L with overdraft and got a account with Lloyds TSB, But am tempted to just switch everything back to A+L current account as i switched to Lloyds TSB as had the account for years and they said if i run the account well for 6 months they will consider me for upgrade to a current account, am not sure what to do tho0

thing with ure ex aswell mate, ask her to open up a account with alliance and leicester or lyods tsb so u have matching accounts she wont have to use the thing, but u might find u get the same speed of payments and convenience u had previously ie lyods to lyods as opposed to rbs to rbs etc.........i cant see it being a biig hardship for her etc0

as for ure alliance account with overdraft........it might suit to focus on that instead remember ull be able to use any santander accounts if uve branches close by etc as there all the same family.........0

thanks
Think will transfer all my DDs back over to A+L tho0 -
yeah look at it this way, alliance and leicester isd part of santander the government doesent own its !!! as it does rbs so surely, that can only ever be a positive??
ask ure ex to open a santander account purely as an emergency solution if u ever need to transfer money to her quickly, ive had one opened for a year and a half NEVER use it and it continuosly reports as active to the CRAS lol
i put £20 in it donkeys ago and used its visa electron 2 times to spend the £20 i never hear from them and they never say there closin my account or downgrade it lol0 -
