  • no mate you're wrong!

Tesco search both experian & equifax. :p

read back, i explained this in detail and i know it for a fact, i also have a mate who posts here confirming it lol and he works for natwest!!

Rbs still underwrite tpf, as such initial checks are made via experian, you then get an agreement to sign and when it is returned and checked at avu they run an equifax search, if anything stands out. That could be too many searches or a missed payment - anything! The only way to bypass any additional searches is if you have a flawless credit history for the previous 24 months..... :d

however all app's are subject to avu intervention in which case, the norm goes out the window. I have had the cards for my new account, then a day later got a letter from avu closing them down, as fast as i got them

do not be fooled into believing everything is fact, just cos it happened to you! ;) ive been working on natwest systems for over a year and would say i'm as confident about their systems as their own staff! :rotfl:

oh pikin up on this 3 year default carry on for europ niddy was on about u any links that verify this ive been googling like mad and cant find anythin

You won't unless you use a European account! We will conform to the same standards as Europe (by 2011), they (Europe) register defaults for 3 years! That is what I mean.

We align ourselves to their standards and we then take over the same processes and time frames but the streering group is trying to retain the 6 year default process, however they will have no say once we go live. It is basically, still in hand, here in the UK. Wait til June then you'll find out more, much more... plus i'll have a thread up explaining it all in detail and what it means etc!

Be patient. It would only apply to defaults added AFTER the date of membership, it would NOT be retrospective!

    Quite simply.

Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.

I'm not arguing mate, just saying that RBS are extremely weird.... basically until you have the account up and running and start to use it nothing is guaranteed.

I always get accepted instantly with them, however the moment I return the forms and AVU pick it up, I get declined. They are doing this as a result of N Hunter alerts, placed by them due to my own sillyness for testing their systems and lying about things on applications... hehe

Ive been on them for a year, not much about their systems that is left unknown and trust me they always always always search Experian with Equifax follow ups ONLY if something makes then need to do it, so if you have anything wrong in the previous 24 months then yes, it will be referred to AVU who will perform an Equifax search.

The above refers to Tesco credit cards ONLY! RBS Group cards (excluding Tesco) search back 36 months, but the other factors are also relevant.

see my point is though leavin the credi cards aside when it came to the current account all they searched was equifax and approved it which is weird then if goin by that experian is a primary and equifax is a secondary.......

Mate I just edited the post above - i'm talking credit cards only - not bank accounts (sorry if I misread your post) - I assumed you were speaking about Tesco CC - not an RBS bank account..... :D

it was kinda generic i was talkin bout them all, though i dont het if thats the case why rbs cards do a first search with both ALTHOUGH tescos only do a first search with one ..............if there rbs systems and its good enough rbs to do both at first why not tescos?

and rbs current only searched equifax though im sure it says on the credit refrence agencies who uses who bit they search both...........
