I got Tesco CC for 4K limit and that is more than enough for me. But now i got Flybe for 1k, that will be my backup credit card.

I am closing Nationwide Classic credit card as i had them for nearly 6 years and noticed the APR have creeped up over the years....I did call to ask if they reconsider reducing the APR but they said no even though i have no missed payments on the account. Their loss.

NOAH thanks for pointin out your tesco 4k limit cheered me right up......

OH did i tell you I got a NATIONWIDE FLEX account with an overdraft and chequebook cant remember

What does it matter what type of card as long as it is the lowest interest rate YOU can get??? I have never understood the whole " status" thing with cards.

In the " old days before our IVA " we had normal cards, gold cards and Platinum cards. The gold and platinum where due to hubbys income not because we wanted them. Does it matter? NO you can still get into debt and into trouble no matter what sort of card lol

If you go into a shop to buy somehting do you really think the sales assisitant cares if you have a Vanquis, Aqua or a MBNA card? No, I worked in retail for many years and someone with a " nicer " card would not be treated any differenty. Especially not with chip and pin when most of the time you put the card into the machine yourself and remove it again the sales assisitant do not even look at the card.

Sorry for the rant , yes I had vanquis and aqua to start me again , I got mainstream again because llower interest not because I was ashamed to had a certain typoe of card over.

    Very true.

If you credit the account the same banking day as any debit, no charges will be applied. Also, when they do make charges - its not instant, it has a red banner at the top of the mini view screen saying charges and/or interest is due to be deducted.....

But can take a week or so to come through.... see what happens, you should be ok mate. I wrote a cheque for over £3k and forgot to move money from A/C1 to A/C2 and they paid it making me £3k o/d but they rung and told me this, also asked if i'd like them to move the money over from the other account - it was really easy and no charges. :D

I just hope my behaviour score can be salvaged. :rotfl:
