Never missed a payment. With only a £100 limit it wasn't difficult to maintain a good record.
That was a classic card. The new application was for a progress card which is harder to get - as you need a good rating to get one. So perhaps capital one see me in a new light!
Be interesting to see what limit they give me.0 -

I'm going to wait a few months and then apply for their progress card and see what happens.

So I will see what limit they give me this time. They really ought to be able to spell 'separately', though.Bank Accounts - Barlcays Premier[/B] - £1000 o/d, HSBC - £200 o/d- First Direct - £500

Credit files are good - all green zeros
Has been this way for a number of years. Although there were too many searches at one stage.
Have lived at present address for over 6 years. But my earned income is not high.
So nothing very adverse. Still slightly surprised they accepted me for the card.
Having the classic for 2 yrs probably helped, though.0 -

couple of points to consider, the progression card has a MINIMUM limit of £300 and they send u out a cca with it to sign and send back to them BEFORE they send out ure card its also in there small print though i realise few years back you were only asked to digitally sign online also limit INCREASE given on FOURTH statement but u gotta play nice, an hey if u only get £300 which is the minimum its still triple.... :A0 -
NEW TOPIC:
ok so were all pretty much USUALLY wantin big increases on our credit cards,
so my question is when paying our bills is OVERPAYING ie having it in credit likely to be looked upon FAVOURABLY? or UNFAVOURABLY?
as im sure im not the only consumer to consider this approach
for that matter has anyone worked out any credit limit increase tips OTHER THAN paying on time lol0
