I have just received a letter from Capital one regarding my classic card, they have increased limit from £1100 to £2100. I have had the account for two years with no missed payments.

Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.

Although, I have a cunning plan.....
I'm going to wait a few months and then apply for their progress card and see what happens.

You can do it the day after your old account is closed; doesn't matter if the account isn't reflecting as closed on your credit file yet; applying while it shows as open will probably strengthen the application anyway :o

Good luck & keep us posted!

Took izools tip and applied today, and.....

    Congratulations, Alfred
Your online application is now complete

We'll be sending you your card in the next 7 to 10 working days.
Your PIN number will be posted to you seperately.

So I will see what limit they give me this time. They really ought to be able to spell 'separately', though.
