Gave the advisor all the usual details and they strangely said we'll have to put you on hold to check something, was on hold for exactly 7 minutes and the guy came back and said i had been approved:eek:,i was in shock, never in a million years did i think id get it but he said i had been approved and all the paper work would be with me within the next few days, all i have to do is sign and return it:o
I darent say what the limit is because i still cant belive it myself :eek::eek::eek:,i had to ask him to repeat it twice lol
Thats it for me now with applications for at least 6 months minimum as i think ive got all i need now.
Best Wishes Kelly
I am very suprised that you got a prime MBNA card with a default on you credit file because when I had defaults the only credit that I could get was subprime.
Please post a picture of the card when you get it .0 -

never-in-doubt wrote: »I'm not suggesting anyone is a troll, but something just doesn't add up - i'm thinking more ego boosting..... i.e. declined but saying otherwise, or no default. However, would love to see a copy of front of card (blacked out details) along with a screen print of the default - that would shut me up
:D
They like to wind people up - god knows how their brain works lol :rotfl:
I repeat i'm accusing nobody of trolling, just some porky tales
Yes no problem Never-In-Doubt,i will make it my utmost priority to post a copy of the card when it arrives, perhaps that will shut the mouths up of those who dont believe me,not that im particularly concerned what certain anonymous posters think

never-in-doubt wrote: »Are you even sub prime? I only ask because some of your posts contradict each other and we on here, don't tell porkies.
I have several reasons of doubt:
1. No credit history would be difficult to secure MBNA
2. High overdraft of £8k would be accountable
3. So what's your income again - must be £30k + or MBNA would not give a £6k limit
Now I could be wrong, but from experience I don't think what you're saying and what is happening are the same - if so then great, but I don't honestly believe you. I think you've exaggerated the limits - plus MBNA is not that easy and considering you struggled with Aqua, I highly suspect MBNA would decline you - I can even ask a mate from this forum who works for them.... something isn't right - dunno what though;);)
LOL actually FYI my salary is basic of £32,00 plus sales related bonuses, which increase it somewhat depending how hard i can be bothered to work, my limits are as stated and yes i dont wish to reveal to all and sundry what my credit commitments are,it seems like you want to knwo everything about me, well thats my perogative to tell now isnt it:-)
Youll have the last laugh when i post the image of the card :-)

Do not apply - you will not get accepted as you have defaults - these have to be gone. I've advised you my opinion, on PM..

People doubt you because you say you have been approved for a card issued by MBNA, yet according to your posts you have a default and have only lived at your current address for 8 months.
So in the eyes of any lender your lack of stability and previous poor credit history would of gone against you.
Why did you apply for aqua and not one of Halifax better cards?0 -
Great idea to get rid of Vanquis.
Are you going to close Vanquis down?
I'm goin to be moving in the next few months so that will let me purchase things like washer and dryer etc etc and then also car insurance etc etc.
SO yeah will probs end up running it back up but aint too fussed atm. :rotfl:0
