People doubt you because you say you have been approved for a card issued by MBNA, yet according to your posts you have a default and have only lived at your current address for 8 months.

So in the eyes of any lender your lack of stability and previous poor credit history would of gone against you.

Why did you apply for aqua and not one of Halifax better cards?

I will post the card image when it arrives,im just as surprised as you lot:eek:

I fancies the look of the aqua card as its quite a nice design, several people i know have it so i thought id give it a try,im just about to apply for the Halifax Easy rate card now actually, one more application wont hurt i dont think,im willing to have another 2 searches maximum on my files.

FYI the limit on my Next account increased from £550 since opening to the heady heights of £1,700 over the weekend, clearly that one default isnt causing me many problems and i might also add all my monthly commitments are easily serviced with my personal spending money left over :-)

Cool hope the application goes well.

If it was me I would have applied for the Halifax first.

So what knowledge/information can you share with the sub prime forum then?

How did you find out about MSE?

Really , i have a coventry first account, and yes thats even with my default, ill gladly post a copy of the card to appease your doubts ;-)

    Love

    Kelly

Ahh I have a coventry first and a callsave money manager as well, both cards are identical so i'd never be able to confirm that - sorry.

But as I say, if you had a default then you'd have been declined. No question of a doubt. Out of interest, when did you get the default, i.e. what date shows on your credit report as the Default Date?

As for MBNA - surely you can see why we're slightly suspicious, something doesn't add up - and for the record i'm not an anonymous poster or whatever you called it lol... most of us on here do know each other and becase we've been here so long, we share info etc.

Now where things come unstuck is the fact that in the last 12 months - of all of the sub primers on here, none have been accepted for an MBNA prime with a £6k limit and these guys range from people on low wages to wages far superior than £32k - some had defaults, some did not - however one thing in common, they were declined - me included and I have no bad debt whatsoever - i'm just high risk to them which is their prerogative isn't it, and their loss I must add!

Point is, when we then see a newbie come and say the opposite to what we've all experienced in the past, we tend to get a little suspicious - rightly so you'd think?

So, when the card comes please be an angel and post a copy and also a screen dump of the default then you'll shut up the doubters, none more so than myself :D:D

And as I said before, i'm not picking you out but hope the above explains why i'm doubting some of the things you've stated. :p

I'll say what everyone else is thinking... she's a stuck up, ungrateful cow who deserves nothing but a credit file plagued with defaults.

I found her to be rather toffee-nosed. She claims she was given a £6k limit but she said "not bad i suppose", anyone else with defaults would be jumping for joy at a £6k limit.

Well done if she did get the card,i am not saying she is stuck up because i dont know her,but MBNA criteria must have gone downhill because i cant get one of their cards, never have done, would it be worth someone applying on the phone and explaining to the person taking the application what chances do i have on getting this card with a default.
And see what they say and if they say no then we all know she might be winding us all up.lol

Ive already confirmed this to you and yea, I do know the system and process and also, yea I also know 3 people that work there! One is a regular on this forum (but not in this thread)...

If you have a live default then there is no way will MBNA touch you - ;)
