Yes,yes naughty i know but after todays success with Aqua, i decided to apply for the MBNA Platinum, primarily for the 0% deal and i did it over the phone.

Gave the advisor all the usual details and they strangely said we'll have to put you on hold to check something, was on hold for exactly 7 minutes and the guy came back and said i had been approved:eek:,i was in shock, never in a million years did i think id get it but he said i had been approved and all the paper work would be with me within the next few days, all i have to do is sign and return it:o

I darent say what the limit is because i still cant belive it myself :eek::eek::eek:,i had to ask him to repeat it twice lol

Thats it for me now with applications for at least 6 months minimum as i think ive got all i need now.

That is a pretty standard limit for a mainstream card in my view, especially MBNA.

Congratulations:T. MBNA are hard to get.

well done for getting mbna that is a very good limit..
  • My credit status is fine really apart from one old default due to drop off in september this year for £1,489.

Hopefully you will get something similar.

Oh thats promising, i have no defaults ccj's etc but did have an arrangement to pay that was returned to normal account status over 12 months ago... THb i dont really need it, but i have been getting itchy fingers and in the past 12 months have got a very.co.uk account , cap 1 progress card and littlewoods (just to take advantage of the 10% off thing for new accounts)

I got an increase on my Capital One from £100 to £200. I've made a complaint, telling them I want the £500 stated in the summary box and I'll be taking the matter to the ombudsman if they fail to comply.

You can't do anything mate - your only option is the FOS or trading standards for misleading...... however you can't do much in all fairness.

The thing is so long as they allow a certain percentage of customers that deal then they are breaking no laws mate.... :D:D

I'd say if you're unhappy close the account.. :p

LOL I bet you were causing havoc!!

Nid, you have a Coventry account don't you, well do they search Equifax exclusively?

They did with me matey :D:D

Do not apply - you will not get accepted as you have defaults - these have to be gone. I've advised you my opinion, on PM.. ;)
