Don't fret about driving on the M6 (which, I assume, you will be using?) It is not terribly busy until you hit Lancaster and Preston

lol It's Preston I'm going to. I'm not fretting that much, it can't be much different from a dual carriageway, I'm frequently doing 50-100 miles a few times a month on those.

I have been up and down the M6 regularly going to Stranraer. I always stop at Tebay services. Very picturesque. As is Killington Lake
